Hedman is the only Lightning defender with a NMC, so therefor is the only defender they absolutely have to protect.

Hedman just signed a long term contract, for a cap hit under 8 mil, that ends before he is 35. Making it one of the best contracts out there for a top defenseman.

Other than that HallFan was bang on.

leon played decent, but aside from a couple games , hes really not as dominant lately as id hope.

Theres no need for a total rebuild...but Jesus H Christ we need some secondary scoring. I feel like an bumhole saying it too, because either Nuge, LD, and Eberle are underacheiving or they simply arent that good...and the Oilers have gone all in betting on those horses.
Ive been saying for years that we needed veteran scorers to show the kids where the bear poops in the buckwheat, and all these years later 2/3 of those guys are veterans themselves , we add Lucic and we still need them????
I absolutely hate to say it, but it almost seems like we need yet another top pick to replace Hall as the #2 driver on this team like Malkin, Messier and Francis are/were to their respective general talents.
