Nah, I was hoping he would call me Guy, or Friend, in return... to start the endless loop of "I'm not your Guy, Friend... not your Friend, Buddy..."

It's gone awful quiet in here this last week...

Losses are discouraging. Especially when the losing team plays the better game as has happened a time or two in this recent slide.

Ok, don't mind the intrusion, but what the (frank) is wrong with Drake Caggiula? ie. what's his injury and when is he back?

Game was pretty even up until it was 3-0. Then Conner got pissed and went on a tear. Great push for the rest of the 2nd while the ducks sat back protecting the lead. But the 3rd was pretty bad. If they had kept the same pressure I'd say youre right they were better but not so sure it isn't score effect. I mean you have a 5 on 3 in the third when you're trailing and you ice the puck?

LA lost again against Colorado. They likely come out motivated in the next game. If Kopitar is back it could be another rough night.

I was more referring to the losses against the Rangers and Dallas. By my eye the Oil were the better team for the majority of those two games.
Oil were the better team against the Ducks in the 2nd I agree. Never bothered to watch the 3rd though.

poopty dealio. I tried googling him too, newsfeeds, whatever, nothing reported on the extent of his injury or even what it is. Thought one of you guys might know.

From the play itself I had thought it was something to do with his knee.

Doesn't matter how good talbot is if they can't score more than a goal a game. Goal was also tipped in by a Duck.

Whagt made them the better team in those games? Because they had more shots? Ranta did not have to make one big save the whole night. The Oilers need to up there shot quality big time.

Pretty sure McDavid hasn't looked like a JV player since he was about 12. If you meant Kesler was diving and flopping all over the ice and caused McDavid to sit in the box then sure. Kesler honed those skills in Vancouver over many years.
- leonkennedy

McDavid looked really good last night, but only when he was able to get away from the Kesler line. Against Kesler he looked merely above average. I think we've found his kryptonite. Oh, and get on Pouliot all you want. From my seat he was fine, but he has is on a line with guys who can't play with him. Oh, and great job on that Lucic signing. Maybe you should have to score above 70 on an IQ test before you become an Oiler.

I thought they controlled a great deal of the play in both those games.

I don't disagree that they need more "quality" chances, but after years of them passing too damn much, I'm not going to female dog about them finally putting the puck on net.

Hmm but I thought that god Larsson had made them so much better? Once Talbot came down to earth a bit I knew things would even out. The first month and a bit all that guy did was steal points.

Talbot was excellent, no question. But the Oil were also getting a lot of secondary scoring as well. Those wins were not all on Talbot.
Sucks that he has come back down to earth at the same time everybody is hitting a scoring slump. Isn't it something like 4 goals on their last 120 shots as a team?

poop luck for the most part. Lucic last night bounced a puck off a post then Gibson's shoulder and out.
