Eh go after him in the summer. STL I doubt will trade him unless they either miss the playoffs or can get some outstanding return (which is doubtful as will be a UFA). I think he'll test the waters and go back to STL or jump to NYR if anywhere.

I've heard the same. Issue is NYR are going to have some cap issues signing him to a whopper along with Zibanejad (spelling???). It isn't that it's impossible but there would probably be some moving parts if so and would also make the Rangers' defense the most expensive in hockey I believe.

One's a liability defensively. the other is one of the best (possibly the best) defensive defensemen in the league.

Samson isn't a bust, but he isn't a "highly elite" player. He could go either way as he just turned 21, but I think he'll merely be a good top 6 player. Maybe top line, maybe second. Doesn't mean he is a bust or some amazing pick either.
