I am beyond sick of being a Buffalo fan: "Well we have injuries" and "The refs screwed us"

Okay but a good team would overcome. I'm talking about TEAM. Something the Sabres and Bills are not.

- BeadyEyedDouche

Gritching about the refs is one thing, injuries are quite the other.

No Jack, No RoR, No Ennis, No Kulikov, No Bogo

Let me ask you this, what team could lose their top 2 centers, and half their top4 D and still be successful...don't worry I'll wait.

The good ones? Its not a lack of depth. You'd have a hard time convincing me that this team would be so much better if all of those guys save for Jack were in the lineup. Even 100% not sure this team does so well. Not this bad obviously but in general still probably on the outside looking in.

Reinhart should be able to fill in as the 2C and produce something.

Bogosian is a 4 at best.

No depth for players to move up a level over what is expected of them.

This team sucks.

With those guys and Eichel this team is still bad, Bylsma has no " heart " and it's showing with this team. Ennis is a non factor with this team, he's just a body on the ice when he's playing.

I think Jack and a healthy ROR make a much bigger difference than people give them credit for. This is why guys like McGinn are so valuable, they can go up to the top line and not look out of place for a little while. But Gionta, Foligno, and Larsson have no business as any team's 2nd line. It makes a huge difference when you have players playing over their head. QoC really matters when you're always playing better competition.

Yes, but Foligno can't play on the top line like McGinn can and did last year and still played well and more importantly didn't (frank) up and blow assignments all over the place. Not saying Foligno did/does, just as an example, because these guys are missing too many coverages because they're playing too much.

I totally agree. It's easy to not see the big picture when you're watching these horrible games night in, and night out but..... you can't plug-n-play your top 2 centers. The lineup is WAY different with Jack, and O'Reilly in, just think of the power play alone.

And I never said McGinn is a 1st liner, I said he can play on the top line for a little bit and not look out of place, that's a lot of qualifiers, but they're all true.

And with all this talk of "good teams" good teams don't have Foligno, Larsson, and Gionta as their 2nd, but in all actuality their best line.

How do you know that though? I get we aren't some contending team, but I'd bet we'd have more wins than we have right now. You don't think losing RoR and Jack hurt us substantially? They are the best two players we have...

What's the big picure? We might be average when healthy? The team is a mess

Not to mention, while we are missing Eichel from last year, we gained Kyle Okposo, who was a 60 point player. We also moved our former 2nd overall pick, drafted as a center, to center. It's not like Larsson is our #1 center

Fine, but it would be nice if someone on the team was playing good. I'll be honest, I'm starting to worry about how good Risto is.

So the leafs were absolutely ridiculously bad What did they do ?

They have a bunch of rookies starting and some vets and wait there first overall pick is doing nothing but yet they're winning

So what's our excuse
