It wouldn't make sense right now because it would be towards the future if we traded for him we would obviously have to send him back down he's not ready
That's why I said with Ryan O'Reilly it would be easier to make this trade since we have 2 top centers - GERBE!!!75PTS
So you would be okay with adding yet another hole in the top 6?
You've spent the bulk of your time on here complaining about lack of production and you want to make it even worse?
Who is to say Strome isn't ready next season and neither is Nylander? Then you come into another season with two huge holes in your top 6.

One of my favorite sports movies
First .. Rocky - GERBE!!!75PTS
One of the greatest hockey minds to ever lived, he put a team together and was able to win. What was one of his most important traits he wanted to find? Chemistry.
People will read this and then forget how LTIR works in about 3 days I guarantee it. Although it did clear up the bonuses for me. They get applied to this year's cap and if they go over they get deducted off the top of next year's.
I just don't see how a Reinhart for Strome trade makes any sense right now. I don't think you break up the chemistry between Sam and Jack either. - Stripes77
This should be enough...you're going to trade Jack's chosen roommate? Nah, you probably see if that chemistry still exists and roll with it.

At the same point, they just moved in together and the one losing the friend so happens to be the face of your franchise. Guys like that have always gotten preferential treatment and always will...they won't risk pissing him off over a risky trade for Strome.

I don't care about them being Best friends if you can get a better player you do it
Do I trade for a guy that could be like Tyler seguin or keep a player that ends up like Kadri - GERBE!!!75PTS
Says the guy who said if we trade for a certain Wild d-man we can't trade Ennis because they are "best firends".....
The Blackhawks seem to recycle all they're spectacular hockey players and all of their players seem to be fine .
If this is how The Sabres operate then they're not serious about winning the cup if they care more about keeping your friendship - GERBE!!!75PTS
It's not about friendship! It's about the way they play together. Patrick Sharp was hated in the locker room and they couldn't afford Saad or Byfuglien. That's totally different then giving up on a guy who scored 23 goals in his first season because even though he's on the same scoring pace this year he's not playing up to your crazy expectations for him.

The point of this trade would be to get a better player Sam playing good last year makes this trade possible The great thing about Jack he can make anybody look good you can plug-in a new player and I'm sure he'll just do just the same

Another thing that irks me everyone Is doing that thing again where they say "when he's with Jack"" when he's with Jack" You're basically telling me he can't do it by himself
ROR has no problem being that guy switching lines doing whatever is possible and producing but let's make excuses

No, the point is you want to trade a 20+ goal scorer for a guy who has 1 point in his NHL career.
