I heard he was struggling, but he only has 7 games under his belt. The thought of having the guy picked after Eichel and McDavid is intriguing, I don't think it will be long before he gets it together, Drouin was the same way.
Agreed. Trade this years first and fasching or ? - cabin
Idk about this years first, gonna be top 3 probably. I would do Fasching and other picks though. I would trade anyone we have not named ROR, Okposo, Eichel, Sam, Risto, McCabe.

Our first this draft could be worth a bunch considering our standings

Yeah 1 assist in 7 games, a -5 and a consistent healthy scratch. But if they are really looking to move him, i am all about it.

Anything worth getting a gerbe hard on in this draft ?
And we could give up this years first unless you know we have #1 which you don't. The drop off is big after Patrick. But if he traded the 1st and Strome didn't work out. He would be out the door.
I'm finding myself watching more Toronto games than Buffalo games ... They are exciting to watch and you can see with a couple good defensemen they will be a contender shortly .... I look at the Sabres lineup and I don't see a contender, I think maybe we should start another rebuild. I'm done with Murray

Yep. I like to keep it off the table if I could. Everything else in in play though, but I don't think we have the quality they'd want. I'd offer 2018 1st, Fasching/Bailey, 2017 2nd and see if that sparks interest.

Difference i'm seeing . our team shows similar speed and determination but it is lacking the passing accuracy and it's just not clicking together. Seems they are trying too hard to follow a set of steps they are not used too. Like starting off on your off foot . The more I see them the more I think it really is Dans system that is holding them back.

We don't have to start another rebuild. We have a couple cornerstone pieces, but I have 0 faith Murray is the guy to add the compliments. He's failed miserably in that department

We trade this years first now.. Then jack and Ror with strome get us within just missing the playoffs . That pick would have been a steal for Strome (if he pans out)

If he doesn't work out we may be handing Arizona picks #1 and #2 in the draft.

#1 this year is all that really matters. And with the odds of getting the 1st so low, i may go for it. Like Cab said if he pans out and they start to click and it ends up being a 10+ pick then you got a steal for the guy drafted after Eichel.

Everyone,
I just want to take a moment to thank each and everyone of you personally.
It's been kind of a rough time for me, lately, and I haven't been myself. It's bright and sunny outside, work is going great, my wife is terrific, the kids are well behaved, but I just can't seem to get out of a funk. Maybe it's a mid life crisis; maybe I'm fighting a bit of depression. I don't know, it's just that there are days when I struggle to even get out of bed. I don't call my parents any more. I stopped going to church years ago. I haven't worked out in months. Instead of going out and spending time with friends, I'm just heading down into the kids' old playroom in the basement, where I sit staring blankly at the TV, eat hot pretzels one after another, and drink, drink, drink, drink drink.
But I have one salvation. No matter what else is getting me down, I spend a few minutes in this thread and I feel completely UPLIFTED. It's like getting hit by a bolt of lightening, the way the energy and enthusiasm that LEAPS off of the computer screen at me from your posts. When everything else feels like a burdensome weight on my shoulders, your witticisms, your repartee, yourexhilaration, all the keen and joyful mirth, it transports me to a happier place.

Hey, man, hang in there, things always get better, life's nothing more than a series of peaks and valleys. But if you really do feel depressed all the time, don't ignore it. Depression is a nasty S.O.B. that has a way of really digging its claws into people.

Same here. Not Reinhart's fault other players don't think the game like he does. Once Sam is back on a line with ROR, which is going to happen, he's not playing with Eichel, the line will be the Sabres' best.
