I was watching it with a few of my hockey buddies last night. My one friend has coached and worked with Willie and he gave me a bit of in sight to him. WD sounds like a really good guy that literally has and would give you the clothes off his back. Great players coach really knows how to bring a team together. Exact quote" Quiet but intense hockey person, commands the room without saying much." I think his leash is long because he has this team playing for each other.

Imo He hasn't lost the room the team just isn't good enough.

Tough loss last night, but entertaining none the less.

Chicago getting that early goal in OT felt so disappointing, but having it called back and then getting treated to some nice action after eased the disappointment of the eventual loss.

You could feel the game slipping away in the third but anything was possible in ot.

I agree this might be the case. His puck-tracking needs work to be sure. On the first goal as nice as it was he did have time to get moderately in position but was nowhere near in place. The second goal as much as Edler and Stecher were puck watching Markstrom HAS to track that puck. Third goal was just a leaky one. And I know Edler may have screened him a bit on the OT goal but man a 25+ foot shot wrister from there has to get stopped..and he knew it too. Not saying Miller is any better right now but it sure appears Marky needs a break to work on a few issues mentally and physically.

His new mask sucks too.

It does suck the life out of it. We have Nuck4U who unintentionally is a Buzz Kill and piled on with Leaf trolls.

I truly find it amazing that soon as you say something about the Leafs there are four of them in here in two minutes . I do Like Lums and about two more of them.

I have to agree. You could see the tide turn.

They do have more confidence playing in front of Markstrom for sure but the problem is Marky is becoming as leaky as Miller…and that is not good for team confidence moving forward.

Ya it's just gonna take as long as it takes, there is an element of luck involved with it. Look at Winnipeg, they finished 5th last and won 2nd. They drafted Scheifele 7th and he's developed nicely after four years.

Patience and luck. I don't think you can put a time limit on it, it takes as long as it takes.

P. Kane is the kinda guy you need to win championships, you could see just how good he can be in the third, you don't usually get lucky enough to find those guys in the middle of the first round or in later rounds. You need a few high picks.
