Finding datsyuks is near impossible ....finding Mathews marner etc is easier ...they are at the top of the draft
- Redmile247

Yes I agree, the higher the pick the better the perception that you're going to get a quality player, but it doesn't always happen.

I'm sorry, but what Toronto did and Buffalo did should be penalized and not rewarded, purposely tanking should be the team is taken out of the choice for top 5.

If you have a poopty team like Vancouver or Calgary and try to be competitive, good on you, if you have a poopty team and waive, trade, sit to finish last to draft top 5 well (frank) you.

And if the offer for JvR is Hutton by himself then I hang up immediately

Measuring stick, the talent on this team "SUCKS" even if for some lucky fluke they win, this game is not a measuring a stick

Not in the sense if they are good enough to beat them.... but what is working and what is not.... plus the fan reaction was the point of the totality of the remarks made

Trading for Gudbranson should mean you forfeit the whole draft. It was obvious to everyone labeled (east coast biased) that Benning was actively making the team worse. It was a cringe worthy move. This was obvious to most during the summer

It's us fans that have to pay the price.

Not really, I watched the game in which Matthews scored 4 goals and I was impressed with Marner more. Which of course didn't sit well with many here.

And I'm still more impressed with Marner over Matthews for Toronto, personal opinion that's all.

Lets be real here, if this was the case, teams would find a way to appear competitive while pulling off the stealth tank, and everyone would know what they were doing.

Why are pretending to be a Canuck fan, everyone knows you aren't, but accept you because you're so damn cool. Be yourself, be proud of your team, (frank) the haters.

You're not a fan of that trade? He's certainly made the team better, Vancouver is far better defensively and sucks offensively.

Don't be an ass.

Would you rather JVR than Kane? Leafs want D. I'd consider it.

I don't know, he's been ok, not good, not bad. It was a steep price to pay, but I'm ok with the move.

I know you don't really believe what you wrote about the Leafs and Buffalo. Especially after Vancouver throwing games this year by refusing to score. With the talent the Nucks have, there was something fishy about them refusing to score.

Yeah I get what your saying ...I'm not a fan of some of the stuff teams have done like shipping out goalies for winning or changing your lineups cuz your winning too much late

But I like the idea of a full rebuild when teams trade all or most outgoing assets ...toronto and Buffalo loading up on draft picks for multiple seasons is smart IMO

I think it's just having an actual direction or plan and sticking to it ...be Interesting to see if any reactionary trades are made with injuries to star players ...or with teams not being where they thought they would

JVR = $5mil
Tanev = $3.5mil

The numbers do not support this statement
