Its not like we'd want him here to play in the core. modern nhl d-cores are 2 pairings, with the third getting ice time to give the other 2 a rest. That pair has to just not suck and occasionally chip in which for the most part franson could do in a reduced role.

Im pleasantly surprised with this team at 3-on-3. They were a nightmare last year, they look pretty good now.

They need the Shattenkirk/Yandle type guy for pair two. Desperately. Ristolainen does not drive scoring at 5 on 5 and will always get matched up against the Crosby's of the league.

So 3v3 last year and early this year. We were not known as a "possession" team, but as of late I see them trying that more, i.e. Less dumps into the corner.

In ot, it's really all about possession, pulling other team out of position and capitalizing. We have yet to capitalize, but we have looked a ton better as of late.

Was Risto out there for 4 or so minutes in 3v3? Seemed like it.

Can't wait for ORielly and Eichel to increase that cause Grant out there was almost laughable (why not Carrier? He has great possession)

Well Patriots have best coaching in the league and Bolts were in Stanley cup, really without Stamkos at all, so really is a bad baseline. Sabres were pretty bad last year and we lose our best 2 forwards, and 2 of top 4 d and we should win like the bolts? Can't be serious.

I never said we should be anyone else. I said good teams find a way to survive through injuries. We just aren't good yet

it's convenient to make excuses, where I would like to see them press for 60 minutes to put up goals

I am sure if this team was losing 5-4 instead of 2-1 or 3-0, the locker room and culture would be in a much better place, and a pulse might exist at the arena
