I thought he had a solid draft this year. They seemed to target a lot of solid two way guys with size. Guys that were system fits. Maybe this year they look for a more sniper type or maybe that is a guy they target in FA when they are ready to contend.

All of his drafts have seemed solid but he's had enough picks now that you can start to look back and make a bit of a judgment. You can't make a conclusion, there's a long way for his picks to go.

Just a roster spot and cap space. But I guess they aren't assets to a team.

If Hamilton is really on the trade block, which he shouldn't be, the cost is going to be very high

McCarron would be a target of mine in Montreal. If the Canadians need a defender I would be asking for McCarron or Scherbk. Not sure Del Zotto gets either one but those would be my targets if they want a defenseman bad enough.

I am excited for Lindblom to eventually get here. Kid is producing in mens league. Seems like he could be a legit power forward type.

Don't act like you weren't doing somersaults when you heard about the Gordon/Weise signings. I tried to tell you my skepticisms about both of them, and you just kept shutting me down. I won't soon forget.

We gave up no players for Weise. It's not likw how we traded Bobrovsky for Mason

We really screwed the pooch when we traded Carter, Williams, and Gagne to LA. Not to mention trading Recchi to Boston and Versteeg to Chicago.

I think everyone is rooting for him. But here's the thing. It's not just putting up points. He was supposed to be a guy to bring an edge and some chippiness to replace Ryan White.

Effort is not something that takes talent.

- J35Bacher

Yeah and then he got suspended. I think he's nervous to play the aggressive hard-hitting style he wants to play now.

Until we see what Stolarz and Leier become its hard to completely judge the Bob trade but obviously it would have been nice to keep Bob. Lavy handled him terribly.

Mason for Michael Leighton & 3rd rounder was a steal tho

People poop talk Mason for being injury prone and inconsistent, but since he came here he's never had a season where he played less than 40 games or finished below .910. Bob did that just last year, while making $8,500,000 with a $7,425,000 cap hit.

The Bob trade was actually pretty solid market value at the time of the deal. The terrible move for many reasons was signing Bryzgalov resulting in Bob requesting a trade the following off season.

Mason has definitely softened the blow.

The opening night starter in goal for the Las Vegas Colored Knights will be Semyon Varlamov

and if it actually happens, I would expect a Joe Sakic to go the way of Sean Bean

I'm a mason fan. I think they can win with him. and I did forget about that salary. good lord, I would hope there was no way Homer would have paid that much.
