I don't think that I made a single post today generalizing Vancouver fans as opposed to addressing individuals (with the exception of referring to the fact that more than one poster had commented on the upcoming game before I commented) - please feel free to highlight any where this isn't true.
Beyond that, I agree with moving on  - lumlums

In the end, whether it's Lebate, JV or someone else, won't make a difference whether the team wins or loses. At best anyone from the Comets are placeholders meant to hold down the spot until someone comes back from injury, even if that spot is the 13th forward.
I'm starting to worry that JV isn't going to work out, not because of the partying or even his play, but because playing for his hometown might be the wrong situation from him. Especially here, where the weight of fan expectation and the desire for a saviour who can take the team to the promised land could crush even someone who has the most mental fortitude ever. - DariusKnight
Park the kid in Utica for a full year so he is away from the hometown pressures. He is tracking horribly but he still has the skill to be a 2nd line forward down the road.

And yet somehow both of which get brought up by others.
Damn, even Josh Thole has a better batting percentage |

I wouldn't be surprised if Grenier got called up next before Jake, he's having a decent year so far. Wish he'd use his body more, considering his size. I also wouldn't mind seeing Gaunce sent back down, I think that experiment should end. 20 games last year and this year is enough to realize that he's just not good enough. Admittedly, I might be too impatient but I was never sold on him. Give someone else a shot. - Brooks_Light
You and me both. I have never understood why Belcher likes Gaunce |

Sometimes you just get it wrong, even with a high pick like a 6th overall, Yzerman did it with Brett Connolly in 2010. The Lightning survived, as will the Canucks if he doesn't turn out. - LeftCoaster
Exactly...ever year there are several busts in the top 10. Although, I still think Jake has a decent career |

I am not a "YUGE" Gaunce fan but there was a nice article him from Canucks army either this morning or yesterday.
He is second in faceoffs on the team and 4th best at shot suppression amongst forwards. Willy thinks he is doing well given his low minutes. See's no reason to send him down to bring up anyone else from Utica. |

a) everyone can find facts to suit their opinion
b) i don't troll the leafs on the leafs thread... i actually have been complimentary to some of their players and often discuss Toronto related stuff. I deliberately avoid any controversial language or disparagement of the leafs, toronto sports teams, or the city itself. In fact, I made a point to apologize for past comments on the leafs board that were definately troll comments, like talking about how many years they've been bad, missed playoffs, 1st round bruins destruction, sundin choosing Vancity, etc... etc... and the Ballard years.... |

I find that hard to believe. I'm also one of the most outspoken folks against the signing of Martin on the Leafs board, so I'd consider that addition by subtraction for our squad... |

Perhaps it might also be worthwhile adressing individuals hoping for a serious injury to another team's players? This is, of course, what starts forums getting out of hand in the first place.
EDIT: Also, as the league ruled no further punishment to all hits in the game, the same logic should apply? - lumlums
