I find that hard to believe. I'm also one of the most outspoken folks against the signing of Martin on the Leafs board, so I'd consider that addition by subtraction for our squad... - lumlums

I am not a "YUGE" Gaunce fan but there was a nice article him from Canucks army either this morning or yesterday.
He is second in faceoffs on the team and 4th best at shot suppression amongst forwards. Willy thinks he is doing well given his low minutes. See's no reason to send him down to bring up anyone else from Utica. - Codes1087
I have complete indifference to Guance. He doesn't hurt the team defensively but he doesn't produce or provide physicality. I suppose he is better than Skille but I am not convinced he provides more than Labatte in a 4th line role. I hope he improves. |

In other more important news. According to a sportsnet article, Bozak is embracing the "dad" role in Toronto. |

Would this team beat the Canucks in a 7 game series? |

B- for creativity. Keep it going and that GPA will keep rising - lumlums
Back at The LSE we called blokes like you sneaking into Campus wanker bangers always trying to slap up their insecurity over not being well endowed in the noggen.
Saying you are professor clueless is not akin to bestowing any accolades of education. You are an elitist wannabe the most pathetic of failures. |

I don't think that I made a single post today generalizing Vancouver fans as opposed to addressing individuals (with the exception of referring to the fact that more than one poster had commented on the upcoming game before I commented) - please feel free to highlight any where this isn't true.
Beyond that, I agree with moving on
Sounds to me like you were leaving. |

You and me both. I have never understood why Belcher likes Gaunce - CanuckDon
I like him because he makes many smart plays in all 3 zones. The points haven't come but they will. I read something a while ago that he was essentially getting Malhotra like deployment and still coming out ahead.
At 22 being asked to win faceoffs and start almost exclusively in the defensive zone is impressive IMO.
Guys like Gaunce slowly just get better at the game, they don't arrive with fanfare and excitement but one day you still end up with a valuable player. |

I hope you are right....the fact the Canucks haven't scored a goal while he is on the ice is pretty alarming though. Also, the fact Willie likes him is also alarming |

He is improving and he will continue to but it takes time, its been so long since we have seen what "regular" development that I think we forget sometimes how young he is.
Horvat developed so quickly, I think it is important to remember that he is not the norm. What Jake is going through, what McCann was/is going through, Gaunce, Subban, Tryamkin etc are all normal development.
We haven't seen guys doing this for the most part since Raymond, Hansen, Edler, Bieksa, Burrows, Kesler etc.

Yes I see him as serviceable and valuable like Malhotra came to be. Also, maybe enough to be adaptable up and down the line up like Hanson or Burrows. |

honestly bud, stop, please.
Can we drop the whole leafs/canucks game already. Maybe come back to it closer to Dec 3rd. We are coming up on 4 pages of repetitive clucking regarding what happened, what may happen, what WILL happen, and it truly is all for nothing.
Lets ALL please move on. |

IF Vegas picks Sbisa, that is the most ideal situation for Vancouver. Which ultimately means... It won't happen. |

It wouldn't surprise me at all. They need to hit the cap floor and he is having a good year despite what the haters will say. It's either Sbisa, Bae or Granlund |
