Comets bring back Pascal Pellitier, leading scorer from inaugural season, hopefully he can help Jake get his scoring touch back.

As well it sounds like Jake has been pretty out of shape compared to the other Utica players during practice. I'm not faulting Jake but think it will be really good to see how hard you have to make it in the AHL let alone the NHL.

Green is exactly what he needs IMO.

You ever see the Making a Murderer spoof on Benning? (aka Making a Manager)

I believe it was one of Nucker's last contributions to this thread lol.

Thanks for sharing. I would think it is Baertschi spot to lose even with his slow start. I also still think it is possible Rodin comes in a turns a few heads.

I imagine Vegas will be playing it safe in many scenerios, just trying to get NHL talent but they will likely take a couple of chances and I could see Rodin being one.

I can see that why I suspect they are keeping him on the slow boat to recovery plan. You know the one that keeps him under the 40 game eligibitly mark.

Totally agree with the whole post, but especially with Vegas taking a chance on a skill player from VAN. With the lack of safe talent being exposed, might as well swing for the fences on a Rodin/Sven type player. Worst case for Vegas, they have players for their AHL team
- WhiteLie

You don't think that if Sven or Rodin were put on waivers they won't be picked up?

Doesnt matter as he is still eligible. He needed 40 games to reach the minimum exposure of "pro talent", but Burrows and Dorsett will hit it for Vancouver. He has 2 years of AHL experience, plus 3 in Europe, so he can be taken if Vegas wants him

Even good posters have an off day. We should be supportive while he deals with his personal issues.

I think they likely would be claimed, but hard to say for certain come September next year. I just meant that in general Vegas could take a chance on players that have boom/bust risk associated with them, wasnt particularly referencing those two

They may before that but ease him in with alternating starts and still keep Rodin below the 40 games played mark.

I would ask the twins to leave them unprotected . No one would grab a one year contract of one of the duo . They are like nitro and glycerin . Deadly together , ineffective apart.

Only 1st and 2nd year pros are exempt from the expansion draft. Rodin is a 5 year pro, 40 games is irrelevant to him

He is even on TSN's list of notable exposed players:

TSN has Granlund ahead of Sven and Gaunce for the last protected spot on their lists so far

- WhiteLie

And why not? He has been more effective, and I would trade Baer before i trade Granlund.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that Lebate has been recalled by the Canucks. I know it's not earthshattering news, but it's news nonetheless

So like a Kassian type? Yeah I can see periphery guys exposed for them that would be attractive for upside. They can also with so much cap space sign tried and true free agents as well to cover for the bust side.

I tried to say trade baert and they went nuts. Might get a late 2nd in this draft for him. At least granlund can play center and wing.

What a terrible list to pick from...

If Vegas takes Sbisa or Dorsett, I'll do a happy dance

I am glad. I was listening earlier today and the last thing I heard was WD was going with Kaput and Menga

I don't get it...nobody would trade a 2nd for Guance and why would they want a UFA? and why would the Canucks want Smith? I can't see the Canucks taking on a bad goalie for 3 years. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but it's seems very evident to me that the Canucks internal budget has been reduced. Aquilini is cutting costs prior to potentially selling the team

What kind of cost cutting owner keeps Burrows knowing he's a bottom 6 and adds Eriksson?

You need to post more, that way I'll get used to your weird or lazy posting style. I have a really hard time trying to figure out what the message is that your trying to convey.

Being honest here, I don't know what the below means?

Smith is out of Zonas bair???
Tanev & Miller cor only a year???
Zona more cal room???

Or maybe you've been drinking and that kind of explains the post.

What? An owner that isn't willing to buyout Burrows. They have been unwilling to pickup anybody on waivers (most noticeably Etem) as perhaps they don't want any one way salaries in Utica. It's also no mystery that they haven't been willing to stock the farm team with solid AHL vets. I'm purely speculating but it seems obvious to me.
