True, but Gudbranson at least has the benefit of being only 24 and potentially improve. Florida expected him to get a raise that they could not afford, thus dealt him, Vancouver will give him the raise. Your contract offer was 100k extra per year over 6 years, I am sure Florida would've done that deal if that was plausible

Yup, early days still but he like many Canucks have been a disappointment so far this season.

The Canucks desperately need his intimidation, unfortunately they also need him to be a stabilizing presence in the top 4. Neither of which he has delivered on yet.

Van paid a 2nd for baertschi who was pretty much a ppg AHL player. Really with the cap now a days, anyone who can't break into an NHL roster on a ELC probably isn't worth a 1st anymore.

Are you really this 'special'? Vrana recently turned 20, and your knocking him because he is producing better at this age than baerschi did at 22? how many 20 year olds are ready for serious NHL minutes? esp on such a deep capitals team?

Players are worth what a team is willing to pay them. This is why having cost controlled RFA's is so important.

Gudbranson turned down 18 over 4 years with Florida, a legit playoff contender with great tax rates and a very comfortable environment.

I expect Gudbranson will be able to play hardball with Benning and get 5+ over 4-5 years.

If Guds was signing his long term contract when larson signed his? no Definitely not. But he signed a bridge deal. And due an increased cap situation, yes he could get more.

he played only 42 games with CGY AHL team according to nhl.com and i posted his results. 29 in 41. His other play before coming to van was international. at least according to the NHL. maybe he was 20 not 22. But Vrana is still outproducing him as he has more points in less games at 20.

I agree 100%. Although, if they can crack down on Air BnB prices will drop. My strata doesn't allow ABB but lots of people still use it. It really is a huge factor as it's keeping vacancies below 1%
