My narrative?
You may be willing to call that trade a win at this point but I am not.
Even if Shink continues to up points at his current 0.20ppg pace he would still only be a few points behind Granlund at the 20 game mark lol. - Whiskey-Tango
You have had no problem calling it a loss for the last 6 months...but sure, let's not label it |

Well seeing as how Sven has gone from bust to trade winner and back to bust, the jury is still out - WhiteLie
I'm coming around to the fact that Sven might need to go bybye. Can't wait 4 months every season for him to get going...soft player too. |

Great asset management suggestion. On top of the rebuild tank method you want to lose assets for no return? We don't need the cap space plenty coming off as well. Team getting younger and vets moving on. No way we are taking on Pronger contracts for a pick cause this isn't a cap floor team. |

Why would you lose him for nothing when you could recoup picks for him? - CanuckDon
Good point, I just don't think there'd be a great offer for him, however, if there was, of course you'd do that first. |

Frankly, i do still believe its a loss from a position and skill-set point of view, not to mention the timing of the move...
Fact is, it's going to take some time for my 'narrative' to be proven true or false anyways......so stfu |

Is that the narrative that Granlund should be doing better at this point of his career.
Granlund 121 gp
Shinkaruk 13 gp
Or that based upon minutes played there isn't much a difference between these 2 players?
Granlund 313 min played with 7 pts.
Shinkaruk 57 min played with 1 pt.

If it is between Sutter and Sbisa, well I think it is a no-brainer.
Sutter can produce.
Sbisa can........ make pizza. - Codes1087
Surprisingly, Sbisa has been solid most games this season. I know +/- isn't a tell all stat, but you can't deliver pizzas and still be a plus player... the only one other than Tryamkin on our D. |

Young mid level player development all par for the course on consistency. They've got game (Sven & Granlund) we just don't know their ceiling yet. |

Sutter isn't going anywhere. He is in the same boat as Edler. Doesn't want to be traded anymore.

I would hope 3.6 mill a year as a bottom pairing d man would give you more than "decent" |
