lol...can't really say I watch the program for logistical input...but I do enjoy some of the alternate opinions and actually some of them hold water and make you think a bit.

Half of writing history is hiding the truth my friend...I hope you aren't gonna quote the bible then use the term logic.

You're very confused.

You should spend more time reading, and then re-reading to make sure you understand before posting.

Once you feel you are ready to post, you should probably go back and read 2 or 3 blogs worth of comments and then come back and think about posting.

Been their for all the disappointing draft picks and luck in Canuck history. Now with the lotto it's even worse. Like they lost out on Laine.

I don't think they have ever really had a steady yearly built up through the draft. They came close to that with the Sedin Kessler group. But mostly they got a couple players here and there. Bure being the exception added to Linden that was the big difference maker. But they seemed to need trades like Bertuzzi Naslund era and free agents to build up a competitive team.

I know higher end talent is wanted but I don't know if they will be fortunate enough to get them no matter where they finish.

Right now they got to work with Bo, BB, JV, OJ and Demko as next core with important roles for Marky, Stecher, Tree and supporting roles of Sutter, Baer, Rodin and Granlund. This will be more evident next season though Bo may be highest point player this season if given the chance and the players around him keep it up.

The most successful team in our history was primarily a result of the steady buildup of players thru the draft?

1999 - Henrik & Daniel
2001 - Bieksa
2003 - Kesler
2004 - Edler, Hansen & Schneider
2005 - Raymond

Thats six of the top ten scorers from 2011, seven if you include Burrows but I don't consider him a drafted player by the team. Also in 2012 that group includes seven of the top eight scorers.

Both of those years resulted in the glorious Presidents Trophy šŸ† and to a lesser extent a trip to the finals and a seven game series...it doesn't get any better than that sir!!!

#Flames call up Mark Jankowski for his 1st NHL game. Polarizing 1st rd pick of Jay Feaster. A very interesting prospect.

I didn't know he still played hockey?

And trades/additions to round out the draftees.

We don't see no cup final or X2 Pres.Trophies without acquiring Maholtra-Hamhuis-Higgins-Ehrhoff-Lapierre-Torres-Rome and a few others to round out and compliment our 'player development process'.

Every bit as important as drafting...just sayin'

The Janitor is actually leading his AHL team in points lol.

On a side note, our NCAA kids are killing it.

Gaudette over takes Boeser in points

This is why I don't do Hockey Buzz after 8 PM any more. The Buzzkills come out at night.

Gotta say, every time I watch highlights of Boeser it makes me excited for the guy to get to the NHL. The speed on his shot is unreal, and he shoots from in close so often, good hands in tight to the net.

I'm pretty sure they can't play any college hockey if they have NHL contract..so he technically sign and play AHL I think but otherwise have to wait til the end if his season to turn pro. Same thing with Boeser right, he could have turned pro after this past season but decided to not sign and to go back right? Junior hockey they can be under NHL contract but that contract doesn't kick in til 9 games in a season it just slides, Like OJ who has a signed contract i would assume but slides. this season. May also be out to lunch as I never actually researched it
- ClarksonDavid

Boeser was drafted though. It seems this player wasn't draft and then went into college. Stecher wasn't drafted in his first two years of college so he had to wait till his senior year which ended at age 22. Where as this player is in his second year of college and is already 22. I've never seen a college player signed in the middle of there 4 years of college that wasn't already drafted.

no easy games, any team can surprise, but if we are going to put some wins together, it should be against these teams.

but this club never seems to make life easy for itself.

Colorado is the worst city in the league to fly to on a back to back.

To their credit, as long as they are only trailing by a goal or two, coming back is a possibility.

Last season, we didn't have much luck coming back.

I'm hoping Bo's line can keep rolling.
