They were holding position for a back door pass, because odds are that shot doesn't go in, and likely is never taken to begin with, Nilsson was cheating and that's why it went in. Same with Sam he was out a little higher to take away the slot. Really nothing to be done except have the other forward take Winnik a bit harder, the play the led to the goal was all kinds of bad though.

I think it was the lockout year, they made it and everyone fully expected them to regress if for no other reason than at 48 games there wasn't enough time for them to go through the late season collapse.

To be fair his numbers did dive quite badly over the past few seasons. I never even considered starting him in HBSL, but this year he's a start almost every week.
