With you there. Why WD frustrates so much with choices. - Nuck4U
Honestly, Willy D has made some questionable decisions as far as line combinations, TOI, etc. But the guy can only do so much. At the end of the day, he has a mediocre roster to work with. |

Hey Lefty on your plane ride back home just read this part about building through draft. Had to laugh from last thread blog about your response to my post that mentioned on one line that Canucks historically haven't built through the draft on a year to year basis. The next line was that their best effort at this was during the Sedin/Kessler era. But lol you seemed to stop reading not catching that point. Your highlight was to post a response listing the draft picks during the Sedin Kesler era as proof. Lol sensitive about the draft build much? |

I was going to post about what kind of injury is keeping Larsen out? But if he's off injury list they will have to send someone down as they are at roster limit. That doesn't sound like Tree. Might be Stecher. - Nuck4U
I doubt they will send down a dman. This is what I was getting at on the last blog but I think I was confused.
They have Edler, Stecher, Hutton, Gudbranson, Sbisa, Tryamkin and Biega healthy currently. With Larsen close he will make 8 until Tanev returns.
They have Sedin, Sedin, Sutter, Eriksson, Granlund, Dorset, Horvat, Burrows, Megna, Gaunce, Chaput, Skille and now Grenier as healthy forwards. Baertschi is banged up.
So 7 d-man and 14 forwards currently.
When Larson comes back they can either put Baertschi (if necessary) on IR or send one of Grenier, Megna, Chaput, Gaunce down.
Once Tanev is healthy I imagine they will look at sending a D-man down.

Nice to Benn play tonite, good old BC boy
Wonder how much Galardi bet Aquinli on this game - probably more than I make in a year?

They have tried Stetcher and Larson together on the PP. It's an option. - boonerbuck
That's true but I imagine it would change the whole set up that they have been using. Not that its a bad idea. |

Injuries haven't helped. But yeah he could do better regardless of what we think of roster. Right now it's just going to be a struggle. Real depth isn't possible in the cap era. |

Listening to Benning on the Radio
Sven injury from a blocked shot out tonight but might go tomorrow.
Virtanen wasn't called up because they want him to settle in with Utica and get a chance to practice with them.
Really important to get Bo signed but that's an internal conversation and won't be giving updates until it is signed.
Hasn't had a chance to see Boeser live yet this year
Linden got a chance to see Joulevi, they want him to get stronger but happy with his development
Fun part of the job is drafting and developing and names only players that he didn't draft Horvat, Hutton, Markstrom, Baertschi |

Don't know extent of Baer injury might not need IR long recovery. Seems they are short on forwards and over on healthy D. Why Biega on waivers is also talked about. But that was on Sbisa reaching expansion minimum of games.

I heard on the 1040 that WD is pulling Tryamkin tomorrow and putting in Larsen who is back off injury - VANTEL
conditioning playing a role?
2nd game of back to back at altitude. seems like a legitimate reason to pull him and could be better for him not wearing down that big body over the long season. |

Yeah they deal by usually losing. I meant injureis now limiting his choices for line up plus style of play. |

I broke my foot in a bear league hockey game from a slapshot from a old Junior B player and I was wearing CCM RBZ's (mid range).
How on earth Hockey Players don't break more bones from slap shots and just shots in general is beyond me. |

Don't play sports with bears. Let the bears pay the bear tax. |

I hope it is one last look at Larsen to see if there is anything here before parting ways or to showcase. - VANTEL
I imagine that's what it is. Stechers emergence has meant the gamble on Larsen doesn't need to happen anymore.
