Eh, it is though. Our default #1 center O'Reilly has been back for 2 games and they have only scored a goal in each game.

There are 2 sides to every coin. Why isn't Sam Reinhart producing going up against 2nd and 3rd D pairings?

Why isn't this coach trying someone else with Risto? Does this team loosen up defensively with Eichel, considering he isn't a great 2 way player, and Larsson and O'Reilly have gotten a bulk of the top 6 minutes.

Eichel is going to make a difference, but people over estimate 1 player, as we have just seen with O'Reilly being back

As much as I believe the team needs a top 5 pick again this year to completely solidify things regarding their future, wouldn't the ideal result we all want to see when Eichel comes back is for the team to play much better and go on a run, thereby signifying just how good a player he is now and in the future?

This is a general thought: it feels like far too many have grown in love with players needing to be great two way players. I agree with Igor Larionov that defense has been stressed much to much to players in all levels of development in lieu of allowing their creativity to grow.

This season they're doing a telling of each character's story line after the confrontation with Negan. This week it was the character Tara's story, she hasn't been on the show in 9 episodes so that's why it seems like new people. The other people were yet another group of survivors called " the Oceanside" made up of all woman because Negan killed the men. It was a boring episode and the show is beginning its end in my book. You can only replay the same scenario so many times.

Agreed 100%, and I say this all the time. They are over rated in a way. People act like guys lay down and read a book in the defensive zone, while guys like O'Reilly play defense and goalie at the same time.

I think it would be great to go on a run, but I also think the Eichel injury allowed the flaws of the team to be exposed.

There are too many passengers on this team. On offense and defense.

What we've learned is that Reinhart is a passenger in terms of scoring. Same with Kane. We need a guy who's capable of scoring goals on there own. We have 2 in Eichel and Okposo.

We also have seen that this defense is no where close to good enough in terms of offense.

There's still a lot more story to tell. That's one of the reason's their pacing the show so slowly this season, so they don't catch up the source material.

The show has gone the way of Game of Thrones. It's not about zombies anymore as it is about power struggles between groups and who will be crowned king. The idea that Rick's group would just continue to hang around Atlanta with all the continuous problems they have there is laughable, you would think they would have packed up their chit long ago and have moved to check out another part of the country for sanctuary.

The story gets really great soon. My favorite story line. The comic is currently at issue 160 and still going strong. The current show story line is only at about issues 100-106

my understanding, and I do not read the "comics" is this will be a 2 or 3 year run with the saviors

Canucks lose Edler, can't imagine a Kane trade happens soon (to them at least), since we wanted a D in return.

I know they said talks have broken off, but it takes one call to finalize a deal after you know what the other side wants.
