He isn't going to want 6mil. He's a 4-4.5mil dman. The longer the term the less he should take. He has struggled a bit but it's only been 20 games and it takes time to adjust to playing in the west from the east.

I am not disappointed at all. This is a young D core and they have not been the problem this year. Our forwards have been the issue.

Tanev gets a lot of respect on this board. I'm not sure a lot of respect is deserved.

If Edler is long term it will be interesting to see how the defensive depth can step up. With any combo of Stecher, Larssen, and Beiga in the line up at the same time, I'm curious how they handle the sizing difference.

Yup it is....he's got some great underlying numbers that support this from a defensive and possession standpoint, at least he did last year.

I spoke to Tanev last night and he said he is close to returning...likely 7 days. I'd like to see him or Edler traded but I'm not optimistic
