Was just looking at all-time Swedish greatest players list. Didn't realize Peter Forsberg and Kent Nilsson are 8th & 9th in NHL history for P/GM - damn those guys were good!! - LeftCoaster
That was a sweet trade for Nords/Avs. Forsberg for Lindros!

They're the lowest scoring defensemen, as a group, in the league, that's an issue!! - LeftCoaster
The two higest paid Dmen on the team are useless when it comes to putting up points. They need to be changed no doubt. There are a lot of issues on this team but it certainly isn't the bottom 4 Dmen dragging this team down. |

Lindros is 19th all-time and he'd have probably been higher had he not tried to play for Dallas. So he's no slouch either.
But ya that was a game-changer for Colorado |

I think there's always a GM out there willing to pay for a quality top four with a 1st or a nice prospect. - LeftCoaster
That's where you and I differ. With his skill set I think he's on the border of 2nd/3rd pairing.
On a team that has an effective back-check, what's Tanev's role?
Does he score?
Is he known for his great outlet passes?
Is he imposing? Is he a heavy hitter that strikes fear into opposing players?
Can he play an enforcer role?
Clears the front of the net?
He's quick to close the gap and rarely gets beaten in a foot race because of his speed?
If I'm a GM in need of filling a gap on my blue line then sure Tanev is a fine choice but I ain't offering much just to fill a gap. If I'm looking for a impact player on my blueline then Tanev ain't what I'm looking for.

I agree and d is where we have depth, tree could be our willie Mitchell. - Bettmanhatesus
I think Tree will be better than Willie IMO |

Canuck's goal diff per game -0.82, good for 29th in the league.
I'd say it's an issue. - bloatedmosquito
Does not help when you have no forwards in front of the net screening the goalie. |

I don't get star struck by defensive defenseman...if it was Stetcher maybe I was sitting by him at Earls watching the game. Nice guy who was happy to chat Canucks - CanuckDon
lol. That's what I figured. Lots of contact with sports pros at Van restaurants.
on the hockey chat. I've heard he's a good guy.

I know this is beating a dead horse but that also comes down to the coach and his offensive systems. Besides, it's not like Miller/Markstrom have stole many games.

Let's get this clear. WD is not running the show. Its the twins team.
When someone asked Henrik a week ago about splitting the twins up he said no, that is not going to happen |

Every player on this team plays a perimeter game. Even the goalies.
Correction: Not fair to Bo. The kid has no hang-ups about driving to the net. |

You've played some weak teams so far.
Move Edler and zibinjadad to IR and add two players. |

Yes he is actually, one of the things that stood out when he was praised for his play on team Canada. Excellent transition game. |

better than chara I was living in PG when chara played there and no one thought he would be anything but a tough guy he was the clumsiest son of a gun you ever saw on skates, he couldn't skate backwards but he was so damn big with that reach I swear he could touch each side boards when he stretched out. He lived with laurie mann who was a 3 time Canadian boxing champ and laurie tough him how to fight. |

I just picked up Frolik and dropped Z. I'm assuming you have to add a D if you drop one right? And drop a Center you have to add a center? |
