always talk of moving Tanev, but if Gudbranson is looking for much more than Tanev, I think I'd rather keep Tanev.

Is he a high end Power forward? I don't think so. Too many negative intangibles for me.

True on intangibles. Why he would be available. But he does have recognized skill. His production has fallen because of all the problems, injury and team play.

When he played for the Giants he didn't have the troubles that plagued him away from home. I think it's worth a try to give him a chance if the price is low.

Otherwise, I would rather trade Canuck vets for draft picks or junior age prospects.

Maybe in 2 years a more mature but still young Kane UFA will have cleaned up his act to be singed to a rebuilt young Canuck team. With no Sedins there will be plenty of Cap space to add a UFA then.

Truthfully, it was a cap dump move, but they got a decent forward prospect with upside and a draft pick for a player they weren't going to be able to sign anyways. Florida is a budget team, so since they had a D on an ELC that could at least eat up some of Gudbranson's minutes, he was expendable.

But on hockey talk. I like Guddy. Believe he can bring more then what we have seen. Mcann nice speed and shot. Concerns of strength and versatility. Plus where he would fit into future top six.

Agree. That should be the focus whether by draft or trade for prospect. The winger need can always be addressed by playing centers like Sutter or Granlund there.

Reinhart plays great on the wing though. In fact,with his skating deficiency, I would think GM's see him more as a winger, and sometimes center, than a center.

Those guys are nice, but the team needs some higher end skill, McCann had that. Hopefully they get another one and develop him properly. Might have a Gluck of good dmen shortly.
