I still don't get why Mike Richards was booed like Crosby. The guy signed an 11-year deal to be here, he wanted to be a Flyer for life. He didn't ask to be traded or hold out for money, he was traded. He captained us to a Stanley Cup Final. Someone please explain this to me.

Flyers fans are asses, plain and simple.
I'm not even kidding.

there are several teams in the same position as the Flyers as far as not having more than one guy signed for the 2017-2018 season. Going to be interesting. just looking over the names who should be available (not taking into account trades that could happen) Vegas will have the following to choose from Bernier (UFA), Smith or Domingue, Khudobin or Subban, Lehner or Ullmark, Ward or Lack, Darling (UFA), Lehtonen or Niemi, Howard or Mrazek (gotta think Howard), Luongo or Reimer (with Luongo being 37 and signed through 2022 maybe they leave him unprotected?), Raanta, Hammond, Murray, Gudlevskis and Grubauer. Nashville has 3 young goalie prospects who will be exposed.

they will do ok with finding goalies. I would take Murray for sure. looking for a young guy and considering what else Boston will expose, Subban could be a good choice. lots of vets to choose from.

- nastyflyergirl

I will say this: Matt Murray will not be exposed. Maybe traded, but not exposed. I think one of the Detroit goalies gets taken, and probably Raanta. They're your NHL guys. After that, they're looking for prospects.

I was at his first game back in Philly, even wore a Richards' jersey. But the crowd was torn between cheering a former captain who almost won them the cup, and booing the "trader" who left our team

He's young, cheap, can pass waivers, and is a top-10 AHL goalie right now. He'd be great as a backup or to be groomed in the AHL for an expansion team.

Hey, we won last night. Where has PLind been all day to congratulate the Flyers on their victory?

Korpisolo
Wedgewood
Grubauer
Subban
Copley
Hutchinson
Gudlevskis

Really the amount of goalies that will be available to pick from is incredible

but there are better goalies to do that with so ehhhh. hes one of the tallest ones so maybe. I would pick Laughton or Cousins before I picked Stolarz
- YuenglingJagr

I used to think that, but then guys like Subban and Korpisalo fell off the map somewhat. If you use the Quick Protect on here, these are RFA goalies who will be available to Vegas:

https://www.capfriendly.com/expansion-draft

BOS - Subban
BUF - Ullmark
CAR - Altshuller
CHI - Carruth
COL - Pickard (but I actually think the Avs protect him and expose Varlarmov)
CBJ - Dansk, Korpisalo, Forsberg
DAL - Kiviaho, Lagace
DET - Coreau, Pasquale
EDM - Borossoit
FLA - Brittain
LAK - Campbell
NSH - Mazanec
NJD - Wedgewood
NYI - Berube, Gibson
NYR - Skapski, Hellberg
OTT - Driedger
PIT - Murray (but the Pens will find a way to move MAF before losing him)
STL - Copely, Binnington
TB - Gudlevskis
TOR - Bibeau, Sparks
WAS - Grubauer

I must admit, I have not heard of most of these guys. Grubauer and Berube are the standouts.

Me too, and wore the jersey. I was just 100% jaw on the ground when they started to boo him. He wasn't some diva who held out and demanded a trade or left us for money. He was traded, and had only nice things and was in tears when he was interviewed about it. The guy wanted to win a Cup here.

Korpisalo will be exposed...do not forget about Semyon Varlamov and Calvin Pickard. Pickard will either get protected or become an incredibly juicy pick for Vegas. Dallas will have Niemi or Lehtonen exposed

Saros is exempt from nashville

Guys in bold are having rough starts, and Hutchinson is also a UFA.

good thing the expansion draft isnt happening tomorrow night

hutchinson is a UFA in 2018, so he satisfies exposure requirements

Dont forget it is also better for a team like Vegas to have goalie prospects that are under 23...so the Flyers could give up a pick and someone like Sandstrom if keeping Stolarz is more important to them

He does, but I think a RFA is more valuable to Vegas than a guy with one year left.

its a moo point because the guy has to be more attractive than someone else exposed in order to get picked. Winnipeg has more impressive picks outside of goal. Boston really doesnt.

I smell a team that plays the trap, 1-3-1, left wing lock you call it what you want to death until they can get some scorers.

the best part was after poopting on jvr from the drop of the puck, he scored in the 3rd. the entire section stood up and poop on the fan. it was fantastic.

Much like Dustin Brown, yes, he'd still be on the team. And we'd all hate him for it. THEN he would deserve the boos.

But I mean, why do you think he had a pill problem? The guy played like he was 6'5 220 lbs. He basically broke his body trying to help us win and couldn't cope with the physical pain, so he turned to pills and got hooked.

- jmatchett383

he might be have been bought out by now. not sure he'd still be here. or perhaps traded in a separate deal.

i'm anxious to see their jerseys. i want to like the logo, but i don't. i like the concept/intention though. execution is a little off.

honestly, i hope they're decent pretty quickly. it's better for everyone if they are.
