Agreed, I don't want to trade any young guys for rentals.
Their team strength has shifted from G/D up to F (and with lots of depth)
The makeup of the team has shifted to a young solid forward core from a shutdown defensive team with a great goalie. Keep the Forwards up front (don't mortgage the future), sign a solid D-man or 2 in the offseason and this team will be setup nicely for the next 2-3 years until Hank needs to be replaced.

If the Rangers don't trade their 1st for a D-man rental, I want them to draft Luke Martin.
