Nice to see they have plans to bring up Pedan eventral lyrics. I would prefer to see him in the lineup over Larsen or Biega.
Horvat hopefully gets rewarded accordingly. 6x5 would be fair. - Reubenkincade
I know it's preferable hockey-wise, but you gotta feel bad for Biega, he'll likely go all year barely getting on the ice for anything but practice |

Flyers have a slightly used Mark Streit or Andrew MacDonald you could acquire - dragonoffrost
Some rangers fans proposed Dan Girardi the other day as well.

I don't feel bad for guys that get paid $600K to workout and eat for free. Never have and never will. If you asked Biega, I suspect he would say this is his dream season. He was previously making $100k to ride buses. |

From day one in Horvat's first camp, it has been nothing but "WD is ruining Horvat's career". Month after month after month.... "He doesn't want him on the team", "He's not giving him enough ice time", "he's giving him too much ice time", "he's not given the right linemates to produce offense".... on and on. This confuses me... Horvat is already looking like he was underestimated by the scouting world and fans... he's only had one NHL coach... what do we really have if WD is so bad for him? The next Crosby if it were not for Willy?
I wonder how Horvat feels about this? He's steady trended upwards each season to the point where he is the scoring leader and in a dominate position for his contract negotiations... oh the oppression!!!!! - boonerbuck
I know you are taking a jab and while I don't disagree with what most of what you are saying there's that whole " correlation doesn't imply causation " thing.
You could just as easily make the general statement that Edler has steadily gotten worse over WD's time here. Does that mean Edler is just getting older and less effective or is it because of WD?
Who knows if Horvat would of developed any differently under different circumstances or coaches but if the plan has been to win first and foremost as WD has said, I think there are legitimate question of why he has been deploying his " best" offensive forward in unfavorable situations.

He needed/needs to play. Getting him through waivers was really good for him. I hope if they bring him up they get him in some games.....as a defensman... |

It seems like these analytic guys in FLA are steering the ship, I wouldn't be surprised to see Yost end up being a GM at some point in time either. And I thought VAN was a sh*t show. I hope these stupid experiments in FLA & ARI blow up in their faces.

I imagine Biega as with most professional athletes want to play more than anything. That said it would be an interesting question to ask if he would sacrifice 500K to be playing every second day. |

I can answer for Biega. Yes, he would prefer a 600% raise. |

Considering Horvat's talents are being wasted on this roster, I wonder what kind of return you could get for him.
If traded you can shift that talent to a later date. That gives team management time to compile a roster that has skill and potential on all lines, just not at one position.
The more I think about it the more I like the idea of trading Horvat. He's more valuable as a trading chip.
Panthers would be a good place to start the bidding. |

Easy for you and I to say but we're not being paid 6 figures to do what you love. Hell I'm not even being paid 6 figures to do what I can tolerate.

Edler was getting worse before WD so no you couldn't "just as easily".
Sure there are questions about why he uses Horvat the way he does. He has answered those questions when asked and the results are not contradicting him either. That doesn't change the narrative around here at all and that was the exact reason I made the sarcastic post. The accusations for the most part are flawed by the results. Now if you want to question why he puts his lines together "win first", sure... that is different than what I'm talking about.
