Or is that Benning thinking should I say something about Bo's contract now or later, such hard dilemnas - allsports
Trade him and it won't be a problem. |

Me personally? I would take option A
If I had spent 15 or so years working towards a goal and came pretty damn close, I don't know that I would be so quick to sacrifice playing the game I love for a bit of extra cash. - belcherbd
Exactly. My guess is Biega knows the situation, and is either hoping to get a job elsewhere in the NHL, or was hoping to get taken in the expansion draft, which we all know won't happen. |

Tell me why it doesn't make sense.

From day one in Horvat's first camp, it has been nothing but "WD is ruining Horvat's career". Month after month after month.... "He doesn't want him on the team", "He's not giving him enough ice time", "he's giving him too much ice time", "he's not given the right linemates to produce offense".... on and on. This confuses me... Horvat is already looking like he was underestimated by the scouting world and fans... he's only had one NHL coach... what do we really have if WD is so bad for him? The next Crosby if it were not for Willy?
I wonder how Horvat feels about this? He's steady trended upwards each season to the point where he is the scoring leader and in a dominate position for his contract negotiations... oh the oppression!!!!! - boonerbuck

Benning? Can we trade him for Tallon now that we know that the new Florida owner is really cuckoo and makes McCaw and Bellringer look good? |

I would also take option A. $500K is a lot of cash. He will be set financially (if he invests wisely) and he can still play full time in the AHL or Europe after his contract is up. - CanuckDon
Sure and that money will always be there regardless. What he is missing out on is playing and that is usually where guys get the opportunity to show what they are capable of.
Again if you had worked this hard for this long for your goal wouldn't you see this as a situation that is holding you up from proving you can play in the NHL.
If he is playing every game in the AHL maybe the Canucks realize they need in the lineup ( extremely unlikely) or another team think they can use him on their team and they trade for him ( still unlikely) but where he is now all he is doing is practicing. I think some players in his situation would sacrifice that 500K if it guaranteed that they would be playing every game. |

Jim: Bo, Brock please sit down.
*Bo and Brock sit down*
Jim: You've both been traded. The potential you've shown and the excitement you bring is just too distracting to the team right now. I sorry it didn't work out but you both have bright futures. I'm sure of it. Wish you luck.

Biega isn't an NHL player. He has literally hit the hockey player lottery right now. Lots of time to ride busses when his contract is up in 2 years |

The fans are watching hockey and not eating hot dogs so you have to go, don't worry we'll name future hot dogs after you're gone. |
