Gonna be a fantastic game! Both teams have a tendency to be hot and cold, especially the Leafs on the road (2nd worst record in league). That said if they show up for this one, it will be a great game.

im as big a defender of pouliot as there is on these boards and i think hes a very good nhl'er.
but hes just not getting it done at present.

and while im also a big maroon fan for how hard he works and his presence, he isnt right now either really. but i think hes a reasonably big part of our success going forward.


but today, i bench either of those guys in favour of pitlick.
i cant imagine why they arent playing him.
especially against a young reasonably talented team. tp is a great skater, solid shot and a quality forechecker

When the Leafs got Marner I thought they were getting the 2nd best player in the Draft. My order was McDavid, Marner, Eichel. That they got him 4th was not surprising, but it was fortuitous. All he did was pick up 242 points in his final 120 OHL games. He’s a special young player. He’s a small man, but boy does he have talent.
