The personal reasons wasn't an injury. The 3 games on IR, who knows, but the IR designation is used to call someone up. 3 games, lots of guys miss 3 games, no big deal. Lots of guys get the flu and miss a couple games, and a hip pointer, whatever, he said he could play tonight if needed.
So again, like we've been over, and over, he's had 2 big injuries, one was getting kicked in the head by Clarke MacArthur, and the other was because he was out of shape from getting kicked in the head by Clarke MacArthur. He was playing through the injury last year before finally shutting it down and having surgery.

Two score predictions.
Pessimistic score prediction Rangers 5-2 Sabres. Eichel with no points. Goals by Okposo and Gionta
Optimistic score prediction Sabres 4-3 Rangers. Eichel with a goal and a assist. O'Riley with two assists.
I was pretty damn close |

That's pretty big. What he say? - sskkoo1
Just saying that he wouldn't trade Reinhart for "speed". But he used Reinhart as an example, like it was on his mind. He didn't pause to think of a name, he just fired it off. |

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being a "mess" 10 being a goldmine, what did Murray inherit in terms of assets? - sbroads24
8. Reinhart, Risto, Zadorov, Myers, Armia, Lemieux, Pysyk, McCabe, all those picks, including 2 first rounders. |

He was right to move prospects and picks. He was wrong about who he moved them for and it has hurt this team. - Sabresfan-365
The way I see it is he made out like a bandit on the ROR/McGinn deal, where are the players we traded away? You don't hear about Zadorov tearing up the league. ROR has been spectacular for us. McGinn was really good too for a "throw in/cap dump". He just overplayed his hand here and left $6M on the table. And he maybe missed on the Kane deal, I'm still not totally prepared to say it was a disaster because again, none of the players we traded away are exactly tearing it up either. We won't know about the young guys in either deal for a while yet, but that's the risk you take to get better. |

Was pretty interesting . Made some great points . Puck travels faster than any player, so thats why you want players like Sam vs speed demons that don't have the skill set of SAm.

O'Riley was a steal for now. But he (frank)ed up big time not resigning McGinn for the cheap cap hit he ended up getting. Could've really used his presence in the top six this year.
Compher has been absolutely tearing it up in the AHL. He's really the only one out of that deal I worry about regretting.
As for Kane deal. I think it would've been very, very likely Myers and Armia wouldn't be on the team right now even without that trade. Stafford too but he was a pending UFA so that's not as shocking. Lemiux hasn't really impressed yet but I think he would've been a nice addition to the future of our 3rd line. I wish Murray would've traded for a less injury prone, high cap hit defenceman in Bogosian and a scandal ridden cold streaker in Kane but not much we can do abut that. |

The other way you can look at this though is
four 2nd round picks
two first round picks
Myers
Zadorov
Armia
Compher
Lemieux
McNabb
Turned into ROR, Kane, Bogosian, Lehner and Fasching. (excluded mcginn and stafford cuz rentals)
I like 3 out of those 5 players, but when you move that many decent to high value pieces you should have a better roster than whats around today. That doesnt mean im not hopeful for the future, just appropriately criticizing the guy in charge.
Edit: Again, I dont mind that any of those players are gone, I mind what came back which overall is simply not enough. |

How about we stop worrying about who we gave up and focus on the roster we have, every gm has moves they'd like back. Seguin, Hall ect. |

I love O'Reilly, and this is pure speculation and just for fun, but could you imagine if we held off, sucked bad enough to get Laine, and Peter Chiarelli loved Zadorov like he loved Larsson?
Not that it would be straight up, but I'd take Hall and Laine over O'Reilly and Nylander any day
Again, just for fun - sbroads24

Supposedly McGinn wanted 5x$5M. Murray offered 4x$4M. McGinn wouldn't budge, so he was traded. He ended up with 3x$3.33M. I don't know if there was hard feelings or not, or maybe Murray was banking on Vesey, who knows, he didn't sign here and cost himself a ton of money.
That's the 3rd center ice goal in the last 50 games. lol |
