I'd go with a 7.5 with the only reason of it not being a 9 due to the unending talk of changing draft rules for the McDavid and Eichel draft and the myriad of teams that ended up bottoming out like never before early on in that season.

With how the Coyotes and Maple Leafs crashed and burned, I still believe at least part of the reason for the Kane trade at the time it was made was due to his season ending injury and it helping assure the team with the best chance possible to finish last.

I know others have said that team was finishing last no matter what, but I would suggest you look again and remember just how horrible Arizona and Toronto were for a long period of time.

With Stafford and Myers playing the rest of the season, I nowhere near certain they end up last in the standings.
