I nominate Squilliam!

Gotta wonder how many times Calgarian starting goaltenders have faced off in the NHL.

I think just by mentioning his name in the blog the site is crashing from all the hits generated.

I think a Tim Thomas/Craig Anderson comparison would be more appropriate.

If the refs start "policing" the game they can just send Wideman after them

Wideman should be sent out to keep the refs honest. I think we just found a way to make him marketable.

I wouldn't mind a 3yr/3M deal. But lets not get a head of ourselves, let's see how he's performing around the mid season point.

Yup. That would be fair. I can't really see him thinking he suddenly deserves the same as a Rask or a Schneider. Those guys have shown stability for years.

Dumb quote of the day goes to Roger Millions "The Flames will never lead the league in scoring - blah blah.."
2014-15: 7th in scoring
2015-16: 10th in scoring even though we were near the bottom of the league
2016-17: After a terrible start offensively we are still somehow 17th in scoring
What the (frank) is Roger basing that off of? The 2004 Flames? (frank) man, for once this team has a bunch of young talented kids that can score coming through the system. I don't think offence will be a limiting factor for this team like it was in years past.
