Now you are comparing apples (NHL) and oranges (Prospects) but I'll bite nonetheless.

So Toronto, whom mainly injected half their top-flight youth onto the roster just a few months ago is only 2 points up on us, where-as, Vancouver is still garbage with our 2 most talented players of the last decade still on the roster and with seemingly no one to replace them.

I wonder how that story is going to play-out over the next few season...

I also know how they traded Hall for Larsson, Lucic and Pullljurjaaaahrvi (if you really think about it!), and haven't hit on a single bloody pick outside of the first round in the past decade...

however, as a faithful, long-time Canuck's fan i understand the necessity of playing the long game. We are trending down and have yet to reach rock bottom.

As such and as painful as it is, i don't think any of us are in a position to be judging and degrading other franchises at this point in time (even though it (frank)ing sucks and i loved trolling other fanbases.... )

Garbage talk from our garbage media IMO. They needed somebody to fill the role of "OMG this guy is lazy!" after Phil got traded, so Nylander seems to have become that guy (despite that narrative being way off base).

We had a bunch of guys at grad school from BC (lots from TRU in particular) and most were real solid guys, until you got a beer in them and a hockey game on screen, and then they became the most obnoxious twats known to man... this also happened to be around the 2009-2012 range, so you can imagine how well received these Vancouver fans were in Edmonton
