- Stripes77

Only cause the guy he directed it to missed...the rule says he cant direct it to a teamate which he clearly did.

Right but you have to go back to the original rule, it would have had to go to a teammate. The "and subsequently possession and control of the puck is obtained by a player of the offending team" that wording needs to have unless it's the person who started the hand pass to complete the rule which the original rule I posted has.
- Stripes77

But it doesn't, an advantage is an advantage. The Bruins gained an advantage

Also this is rule 67:

Handling Puck - A player shall be permitted to stop or “bat” a puck in
the air with his open hand, or push it along the ice with his hand, and
the play shall not be stopped unless, in the opinion of the on-ice
officials, he has deliberately directed the puck to a teammate, or has
allowed his team to gain an advantage, in any zone other than the
defending zone, in which case the play shall be stopped and a faceoff
conducted (see Rule 79 – Hand Pass). Play will not be stopped for
any hand pass by players in their own defending zone.

It's to a teammate, or, gains an advantage.

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/en...-Interactive-rulebook.pdf

unless they literally removed the advantage part for this year, you've got an outdated rulebook.

67.1 Handling Puck - A player shall be permitted to stop or “bat” a puck in the air with his open hand, or push it along the ice with his hand, and the play shall not be stopped unless, in the opinion of the Referee, he has deliberately directed the puck to a teammate in any zone other than the defending zone, in which case the play shall be stopped and a face-off conducted (see Rule 79 – Hand Pass). It has to go to a teammate...it went to himself, its legal

- Stripes77

It went to himself, however he deliberately directed it towards his teammate.

That's all irrelevant though. The Bruins gained an advantage from the hand pass. Even if he directed it to himself, which how could he when there were 4 players between himself and where the puck landed, you can't gain an advantage from it which he clearly did.

Yes, I read that. However he deliberately directed the hand pass to his teammate, whistle should have been blown. The player wiffed on the puck, but the puck was directed to him, rule doesnt state the player needs to make contact with the directed puck.

Oh, I see what you're saying, yeah, it should've been dead twice. The rule book sucks, and the referees have an odd interpretation. How you can, with a straight face, say that puck wasn't directed at his teammates is laughable.

Lost in this debate is the fact that Risto made a weak play at the line on an easy clear attempt that kept the play alive in the Sabres zone. I hope Guhle gets more time with the big club.

9 people dead at a rave in Oakland after a fire. Up to 40 unaccounted for, there were only 50 people there. So one person other than the dead people is accounted for?

Edit: There's all kinds of conflicting info. Now it's up to 40 presumed dead and that there may have been 100 people inside. The (frank)ing hipsters made stairs to get up to the second floor out of wooden pallets(the only way in or out). Good job, dumbasses.
