It's not great, I'll tell you that. I used to invite people to edit or delete post that they don't want a mod to read before I back read the whole thread, but I don't have that kind of stamina anymore.

You wouldn't even get just Pacioretty for Edler and Burrows. Edler has missed significant time over the past few years with injury, and Burrows is a disliked 35 year-old on an expiring contract. Not a chance in hell that the Habs part with their captain who happens to have one of the better contracts in the league for that deal. It doesn't require any analysis, just a picosecond of rational thought

What does like or dislike have to do with it? By all accounts Burrows is a consumate professional who is very valuable in the room and a decent 2-way player on the ice. You think GM's look at him and think that other players, the media, or fans like him or not ?

I think that given their issues over the last while and everything that precipitated and fell out from the Subban trade, that the Habs management would be hesitant to mess up their team chemistry right now, especially for an older rental.
