When did he *promise* to keep the team in the playoffs? The context is completely different when you make stuff up like that.

If your *goal* is to make the playoffs,,, then that destroys that whole post... and that's what they stated from the beginning... their goal was to try and make the playoffs while transitioning in a younger generation. The first season they made the playoffs. Last season they were in the playoffs race for 3/4 of the season through all those injuries but collapsed eventually... like any team would have. This season they had a really poor start, but with 3/4 of a season left and the team is playing above .500 lately. I don't think the seat is as hot as you would like us to think it is... nowhere near actually.

You make a lot of speculative claims about what FA wants and how he thinks. Interesting. I don't ever see FA booting his staff around and making rash firings or anything ever. I really don't know why you are so convinced... wishful thinking I suppose.

You shoot it down a lot, but how do you know? I've played golf with FA before at Golden Eagle and got to talk to him. He's fired the entire staff of that golf course because it didn't do as well as Swan-E-Set down the road. And he loves that golf course too, just like he loves the team, so what makes you think that it would be any different. Especially because he loves the team more than he does the golf course.

Ok, if you think it's contradicted, fine, I just ask myself based upon what I know of FA, having actually met him, talked to him and asked him about the team and having known what he's done before in similar circumstances if he won't do it again. Maybe it's baseless speculation, but it's a valid point don't you think?

Again, I never said that what I think is the way it's all going to play out, I did note that it's what I feel is likely to happen based upon my knowledge of the man himself. I freely admit that I'm not his bosom buddy so I won't claim any insider knowledge beyond what I've heard from him and what I've observed based upon how he's acted in a place that I frequent and have had friends who were let go by him because they failed to measure up to a standard that he set that was the best case scenario. He loves the golf course, and he loves the team much more than he does it, I think it's valid to say that if he's willing to get rid of a whole bunch of staff because they underperformed to his eye that he'd be just as willing to do it to the management group, maybe even more so if he feels they aren't performing to his expectations, realistic or unrealistic as they may be.

Maybe promise was too strong of a term, I think what I meant to say was that he was hired with the expectation that he would make the playoffs while turning over the roster. You're right, I totally mispoke by using the word promise and it changes all the context by using it.
