I believe Islam is bad, not Muslims on an individual basis. - TheGiftofGod
Well i believe christianity is worse. |

Ummm are you ignorant or something? Those are all very real and relevant social issues. - Larsson_fan
I'm not going to misquote you. As much as I dislike you, that is unfair.
What do you think about this gender stuff?
What's your opinion on Black Lives Matter?
What are your opinions on immigration as a whole? |

And that's a totally fair opinion.
But take this into account:
Christianity has reformed throughout the years. I.e people aren't being hanged because they're being accused of being a witch.
Depending on where you stand on the spectrum, what is the worst thing you've heard in I don't know, let's say ten years?
Literally every single day there is some sort of terrorist attack. The large majority of which come from radical Islamist. |

It's not all that different from any other organized religion. As Schweiny said earlier, extremists exist within every movement and shouldn't be the primary consideration. Do you decry the entire Christian faith as horrible because of the Westboro Baptist Church? Or how about the countless missions in Africa that are corrupting their society into hating and killing gays? The big difference is just that the countries typically associated with one group are a few decades behind as far as social policy and human rights.
Listen, I'm of the belief that religion is regressive bullpoop and serves no real purpose. I just think that more people need to understand that pretty much all religions preach the same thing. It's those who purvey the religion that corrupt it; not the religion itself. |

This ' Gender stuff' is something that has been going on since the dawn of man. This isnt a fad or decided on a whim. Its how some people are wired. Its a tough existence and I support , openly, any changes a man or woman need to make to make their life more enjoyable.
There is a serious race issue in The United States we cannot fathom here in Canada. Its deep rooted in the US's history that started with Slavery and continues today with the bullpoop war on drugs, which puts an alarming number of mostly black males in privitized prisons to make Calvin Klein jeans and General Electric products for pennies on the dollar in labour costs. Imsuggest you read Howard Zinn's 'A Peoples History of the United States".
You need to be more specific when asking ones thoughts on immigration, but I will say this:
Our country as well as our southern neighbors was built by Immigrants. We are a multi cultural society. There is plenty of room for more people. I dont care what continent people originate from. I dont care what your religious beliefs are.

(frank), the missions in North America and Scandavia were bloodbaths as well. Nobody talked about the 10 armed soldiers for every Padre to take care of the hard to convince heathens. |

Big difference between Westboro Baptist church and the thousands of terrorist groups.
Here's what a lot of people don't know. There are radical Muslims, they make up a very small percent of the muslism population. Then there are "Quran Thumpers". People who take the Quran seriously but don't condemn what the terrorists are doing.
Then you have what most consider the "nominal" Muslims. These are people who think homosexuality is bad an punishable by death and women abuse is just a normal day in the life.
Here's pewpolls taking that you would find interesting: http://www.pewresearch.or...u-s-and-around-the-world/
Edit: poop I forgot to respond to the second paragraph. I think that religion does have a purpose. Perhaps not believing in God, but at least the values that come along with religion. I.e Waiting until marriage to lose your virginity.
As for religion teaching the same things, no.
For example, most Western Religions focus on what happens after you die. That includes how to get into Heaven/Paradise.
On the other hand, Eastern Religions focus more on how to be the best person you can possibly be while you're on earth. Buddhism. |

Morals
And values? I think you mean 'rules'. Rules are methods of control. And seriously, why in the (frank) would anyone think waiting for marriage to have sex a s the right thing to do? |

I know you guys probably won't like what he's saying, but he's right... I work for a newcomer organization, and unfortunately women and homosexuals are treated like sh1t by 95% of Muslims... It's horrible, and complete BS.

That's a dumb comment. The percentages are not even close... If you think most people who supported Trump are anti-gay, you're completely wrong. And for those idiots who are anti gay, a much smaller percentage would support death as a penalty |

It's not any different than how
Christians treated Women and gays. Society has forced them to settle
Down in western culture.thats the only difference. |

I know, I know, but the point that s there is still a large number of people
Who are racist, sexist homophobes that they se their Christian ideals and morals to backstop their bullpoop. Not allchristians of course but an awful lot of them. |

As do I. Look as long as you're not forcing it on people, I have no issue. Do I think it can be a disease, possibly, I personally believe it relates all back to mental illness. And again, people that go out of their way to "trigger" these said people are just as bad as social justice warriors. (Alt-Right)
I do agree racism still exists and it also goes both ways. As for drugs it obviously depends on which drug. Like if you're a weed dealer, you should be punished, but it isn't the end of the world. And I totally agree with you on this. But when it comes to police shootings I don't believe race plays a part of it.
Also here's another tidbit for you, blacks make up about 13% of Americas population, yet commit 50% of violent crimes.
And for sure I will check out that book. If I may suggest two authors, look up Ben Shapiro for conservatism and Sam Harris for Religion.
Those (frank)ing Irish bastards. Again, as long as you can transition into Canadian society and respect rules, there is absolutely nothing wrong with more people coming.
Do you at least agree with me when they should be vetting better? |

There are idiots on both the left and right...
But it's important to note the difference... I'd assume the percentage of Christians who are anti gay do not believe that it should be punishable by death... (frank), I hope not anyway. And then there's the women... My god, they have next to no rights... It's horrible. Working for the organization I work for really opened my eyes. |

Not all people that voted for Trump voted because they believe his flimsy policies.
Some (and I know a lot) voted him in because he's simply better than Hillary and her flimsy policies. |
