Considering that Dauclair was scratched tonight. Strome sent back to juniors. Virtanen playing in the AHL.Vrana, Kapanen also still in the AHL. Fabbri was scratched this year. - manvanfan
Trade rumors with this one. Could be something there. |

Yeah it was a good pick.
Makes up for that nightmare draft they had in 2015 - classic321
That was a nightmare

That's what I meant usually the top 10 in next years entry draft, this is their showcase. - manvanfan
I think the management staff for these teams are realizing their teams are typically stronger with 19 year olds instead of draft eligible players |

Soon enough Bo and Gudbrandson will be the C and AC! CANADIAN leadership is in my opinion valuable in a playoff run...
Danny and Henrik should pass the torch next year, and then play a supporting role in my opinion. Joe and Little Joe did it in SJ to pretty good affect.. |

Getting those 3 would have been a hell of a draft for sure
Weird that kylington is in his 2nd year in the AHL ...and is playing in the tourney for Sweden - Redmile247
Yeah, because he's one of the younger guys from his draft year, so he was born after the cutoff. I think that he'd only just turned 18 at the time of draft.
I'm so glad that they didn't get those three. I also very very much enjoy this:

I don't think you have to worry about the playoffs next year, let Hank keep the captaincy to the end of his deal and then move on.
Or trade them in the summer and then move on |

Little joe was 31 years old and had spent 9 years as a shark
I think Bo could be a captain one day ...but he is 21 ...let him worry about other things for now |

If mcdavid can be the oilers "captain" Bo could do it at 21. That said, I agre Henrik should stay captain till his retirement |

Hhaha are you sure about that?
Heck ya, but trade them to the EAST please! Hate to see those two in another teams colours too often...

You can't compare bo to mcdavid ...I like bo ...but you just can't
Give Bo an A if they want but he isn't ready to be the captain right now ...and naming him would be a terrible mistake that could ruin him |

The Twins? Bure? Linden? all 4 better than Kesler. - Retinalz
That's why I underlined developed.
Linden was a high draft pick so he was projected to be a difference maker. Twins went 2 and 3 and then straight to the NHL from Europe.
I'm thinking of a franchise taking their time to develop someone that might not be as talented. Groom them in the minors and bring them into a situation where they can succeed.

I know you guys are going to probably have something to say about this, but I would like to ask a favour.
When Nuck4U returns on Dec 07th at 12:30 pacific, could you please give him another chance, I have had a conversation with him and he has stated he will try to blend in without antagonizing others here.
Please, if there is a post that you feel is a "WTF" post could you please ignore it and not try to bait him, and he will do the same. There are times that he has some valid points and insight.
As humans we do for the most part try to be socially inclusive, but I do understand when someone gets under your skin and they have to redeem themselves.
Thanks - Makita
Sure.
I ignore his posts anyways with the 2 exceptions where I asked him not to talk to me. |

Datsyuk? Zetterberg? Pretty much any player on the Detroit Red Wings? Maybe even Scheiffle in Winnipeg, he marinated in the AHL for quite a bit. Toffoli in LA maybe? That's off the top of my head. |

yes, but they didn't play for the canucks. I'm thinking what player (that was ranked out of the top 5) was developed in a canuck system that went on to become a "star" or as close to it in the league. Is Kesler that player?
Edit: Bieksa might be the next closest but he ain't no star. |
