The guy was fully unconscious... No sympathy eh? Concussions KILL in so many more ways than we understand. CTE is for life.. And we lost an amazing player in Rick Rypien because of it.

It may be unpopular, but I think we need to take a serious look at how much we care about the players on the ice and their well being, and adjust some rules accordingly. BLIND SIDE hits = out of the game is where I'd like to start.

I thought it was pretty decent... AHL level..now I'm not as sure. May have to look at it a bit closer. Do they actually just skate around and put themselves in dangerous positions behind the net? I'm not so sure anymore. Does seem to be a lot of those guys end up over here and get wrecked a lot..,watching their passes etc

I should've been clearer in my original post that it's the Daniel hit from Kadri that I think was blind side and that that rule should go back in. It at the very least gives DOPS the opportunity to suspend players based on the direction of the hit/defencelessness of a player.

In addition, I think it's totally old fashioned and frankly idiotic to expect life long brain injuries to be the norm in any professional sports. I don't think it's possible to get it out of the game, but any attempt to lower the chances for it I applaud.
