Good catch. Its completely presumptuous to think Brock can maintain his NCAA success and translate that to NHL success, but I think he is hands down the most promising prospect to come in next year. - Codes1087
I doubt Brock lights the NHL on fire as Eichel did. Also given the state of the team. Would hope that if Van isn't in the playoff race that the end of his season, he gets some games in with either Utica or Van. |

I am not sure the Canucks burn a year of his contract if they aren't for sure in the playoffs. Learned that the hard way with Tryamkin. |

Add in PHI/PIT.
Those Q.C versus Hab's tilts, even just regular season games, were absolutely insane. The day the NHL relocated the Nords was a day the league lost some of its best hockey ever produced.
I get that Quebec has yet to have an NHL ready stadium and all, but to forcibly push for the creation of Winnipeg, Vegas, Seattle etc is a joke |

I thought the Quebec mayor had already built the arena?
Quebec deserves a team IMO, I have some friends in la belle province who still refuse to cheer for the hated Habs. |

"I hope you are right, I just don't see it happening though. I think there might be a little bit of a difference between junior and nhl."
Only so much you can do in junior. Same as Ivan provorov. - manvanfan
Yup. Too bad they can't at least play in AHL after draft plus1 season. This rule could end up killing junior hockey if more players go to USHL or Europe Ala Matthews. |

Would be nice for him to get a taste of what level of competition he'll face and what kind of effort he'll have to put in before he has his first full season. Probably be a big help for the transition and motivator for summer training, not that he seems like he needs motivation. |

My bad, they do (as of last year) however i don't think it was completed in time for the initial round of NHL bids, plus the whole corruption scandal (as per Quebec tradition) surrounding its construction and naming rights further damaged the city's ability to secure an expansion at the time.
I caught a Ramparts game at the stadium, its beautiful.

Don't forgot the whole Bettman thing or should I say Buttman
I don't think he has forgiven the Quebecois for their picture perfect representation of him in Good Cop Bon Cop

So true but really, its all on him.
He should have known better then to screw around with a Province who's official motto is "je me souviens" lol.

It was ready before Vegas' rink was complete. The NHL cited concerns over the Canadian dollar as reason for not awarding a franchise |

I think that argument could be made for this season but last year it sounded like the Canucks pushed to get Tryamkin over here for a few NHL games.
Regardless I think the whole burning a year off a players ELC is overblown.

Which can be a good thing, lowered leverage for second contract. Tryamkin with the 10 games he played last year and the 10ish games he sat this year will really only have 80ish games to base his second contract on. Had he played 150 games worth (by the end of the following season), he could probably secure a better deal IMO |
