It's puzzling. They were 9th last year. 30th the year before(second year of the tank) and 20th the year before that(first year of the tank). So outside of a year the team was built to lose they haven't been this bad. They're almost a full point worse than the Eichel draft year.

But also almost as surprising is how good the PP is.

That coincides with Kuli and Bogo being hurt but cause doesn't always equate to effect but something to think about. And it's not that Kuli and Bogo are the Pkers, even though they are at times, it's that we have played Risto to death and on the PK you use a ton of energy and have to have a ton of energy to work at full tilt. Kind of like how when the Bills offense sucks and the D is out there and overplayed, they get played into the ground and lose their top playing level.

Well, we have no snipers outside of Jack when he is healthy. O'Reilly, Okposo, Reinhart, Kane are twenty goal scorers. They have no goals coming from the blue line. None of the D are outright offensive studs except for Risto. They need another D who is offensively gifted which might help facilitate some offense by the forwards and they need an outright sniper on the wing. Could it be partly coaching? Sure, but he doesn't have the soldiers either.
