Henderson says he's a coward, I'm confused.

Crosby and Ference I know have gone at least once maybe a couple of times.

The story I remember was that Ference showed up to the all star game or some league event on a bike because he had been campaigning for climate change action by the league and PA.

Crosby made fun of him and Ference called him out for showing up in a SUV or whatever. So Crosby looked right at him and tossed a pop can on the ground.

Or we could believe mcdavid's words (based on his actions on the ice) when he says that manning said he did it on purpose.

It's interesting when people believe that what manning did/said was to incite mcdavid and then jump on the kid for taking the bait. manning wanted a reaction and he got one. Doesn't mean that what he said wasn't classless and doesn't deserve to be put out there.

You've seen the play that McDavid got injured on though right? Whether Manning said he did it deliberately or not doesn't change that it was clearly an unfortunate accident. Watch Manning's reaction after McDavid goes into the boards.

I'm sure Manning did say some mean things but I don't see how the comparison of saying I deliberately hurt you last year (despite what it looks like) to Burrows making fun of O'Sullivan for being abused.

I'm a proponent of what said on the ice, stays there in most instances. I just think the line was crossed there IMO. He will get called out from a lot of guys around the league for saying anything in the media I would guess, but I just happen to agree with him on this one.

Heck I would try anything who cares about the media and league, this new age hockey sucks everyone looks like robots skating around no emotions, I like guys that stir the pot, I miss bobby clarke now theres a guy that will do anything to win, if he didn't break kharlamovs ankle in 72 we lose that series. He said afterwards I had to do something he was killing us.

While that's not true, todays players are also vastly more athletically talented. At the end of the day it's a game of hockey, not a pissing contest.

i'm just putting myself in mcdavid's skates. even if i knew he didn't do it on purpose, but he said he did, i would have dropped my gloves and started throwing.

but mcdavid reacted differently from me... but still reacted emotionally.

i know i would have flipped out so i don't have a problem that he did.
