As long as he plays like he has been his stock will keep improving.

I really don't care if he is here or not. As it projects now he will be here though. Murray wants a lot for him still.

I want him to work here (regardless of my opinion on him or the trade), mainly because I would hate seeing him fail here and do well somewhere else, but from what my buddy told me and all the smoke around, it's Terry who wants him out

If he plays the rest of the rest great and gets moved for Risto's partner it's fine by me.

I wish his shooting percentage was better. His career is something like 8.6% he is shooting 7.1% this year. That 7.1% is an inflated number because he scored in 3 of the last 5 games...

I just wish he could put it all together

Matthews scoring 4 goals in his debut was probably the worst thing he could have done while playing in Toronto for his career.

I agree 100% nobody lives up to that.

I want him to work because it's one less hole to fill....

Nylander ROR Okposo
player X Eichel Reinhart
Kane Larsson Carrier
Foligno Girgensons Baptiste

Risto Player Y
McCabe Guhle
Kulikov Player Z

Lehner
Nilsson

If you agree player X can be found easily (assuming Nylander pans out), player Z can be almost anyone

The real hole is player Y

There are not really as many holes as you think.

Player Y is the key. Those don't just fall out of trees and we all know most defensemen that are drafted aren't ready for the show.

It doesn't make much sense to tank away another season.

Gionta has paid his dues he has said this is where he wants to finish his career, he is from Rochester, plus like Homie has said I have heard he might be back next season if he wants to play again.

- Stripes77

Yes, I agree, Player Y is the big problem. How do we obtain Player Y? we don't have assets to move anymore that will bring us this player, and I doubt Shattenkirk signs here.

As for Nylander, I pray he develops well. The last thing we need is another Armia. But, until he's at the NHL level and producing, I can't comfortably pencil him in on our future roster.

I know Gionta wants to retire here and he may even play next year, but seriously, why wouldn't he do what Moulson did and accept a trade if we have no playoff hopes come deadline (we are currently sitting at 28) so he can take a run at a Cup and then just resign here in the offseason?

I don't think Gionta would have signed here (during the tank years no less) only to leave at the deadline when they are starting to turn the corner.

The issue with tanking for a defensemen is you might have to wait 3 or 4 years to find out if he is that top pairing D.

He does have 20 points in 26 games, that is nothing to scoff at though.

But man Laine...

I said the only reason why he did not go one he's not a center

Rex Ryan in jeopardy of losing his job as soon as this week, as is Tyrod Taylor - http://CBSSports.com

Edit: The only thing I have to say is LaCanfora is rarely right about the Bills. He had Marrone pegged as the next Jets coach too...

That sounds moronic to replace Rex with 3 games left. Tyrod I can understand if they need to see what they have in Cardale

Graham followed it up with Lynn would be the replacement for the rest of the year and maybe next season as well.

I'm not buying it. La Confora is the EK of the NFL IMO.

Find That very hard To believe unless someone higher up wants to see jones And Rex won't do it.
Less than 5% chance that happens, although anything the bills do doesn't surprise me anymore

That would be something the bills would do, only address 10% of the problem. If they get rid of Rex they better do a complete cleaning !

This is the game I want Taylor to go off

315 passing 40 rushing type of day.

But the Buffalo in me knows it's never gonna happen

Report: Coyotes' Max Domi to have surgery for a hand injury, could miss six weeks http://bit.ly/2hj8MYm

Go get Vrbata now. Their season is over with.

Won't cost a ton. If it doesn't work out they could flip him at the deadline for what they gave up to get him.

Hot rod is on pace for -30 yds passing thru on quarter, so thinking not. It must be nice having a qb who (a) has qb instincts, (b) passes over the middle and (c) completes 3rd down passes. Today is downright sickening

What do the Sabres have to lose flipping Foligno, who might be a top 6 talent with Carrier, who is most certainly not a top 6 talent. Or put Girgs in Carrier's spot and hope he gets some points to inflate his trade value.

I get that Foligno and Gionta have shown great chemistry, but why not see if Foligno can contribute more in a top 6 role.
