James you want to know why the Avs are a joke? They are owned by Stan Kroenke, or under his wife or kids name now. Look at all the teams he owns, the Nuggets, even an English Premiere soccer league team and you will find your answer. He even owns the Rams ruined them here in St. Louis so he could argue there was no attendance and then moved them into one of his huge real estate projects. He even rehired one the worst coaches in football history. I do not care for football by he makes money by not spending money on his teams.

I'm not really surprised because Toews, like Bergeron, makes everyone better. But they still shelter Kane and pretty much always have. I am sure it also has to do with spreading the wealth, so to speak. So you're not wrong.
But Kane is an atrocious defensive player, and human being. - James_Tanner
I'm not trying to argue that he isn't an atrocious human being, just talking hockey. He hasn't been THAT atrocious defensively the past year or so, no where near as bad as he was when he first entered the league. Maybe he has picked up a thing or two from the Hossas and the Toews

Lame! Who cares? - James_Tanner
When you profess to know a team better than most, but can't spell some of their names properly - it looks bad.
Saying they're second to only Toronto in prospect depth is rediculous as well. Winnipeg, Buffalo, Florida have way better depth. |

I think Hamilton is gimicky crap. It's the sort kitch garbage the masses think is great and really lacks anything truly creative about it. Oh look how we offend and thus shine a spot light on historic travesties! Look at how clever we are for pointing out something obvious and attempting at cheap irony and cultural clashes with crap such as rap. Most rap to begin with is garbage.
I am so self important I will stop my play to give it to Pence for being in the audience. Wait a second the supposed racist Pence is in the audience watching that show which kind of foies in the face of the supposed media narrative and then is criticized publicly when he went to see a show? Now let's talk about irony, the real stuff, without all the cheap glam and glitz of hackeneyed writers and pretenders.
Let's talk about the same people who are against aparthied somehow argue for that very disgusting thing.
Let us never look behind the curtain and find a real dialogue that finally slams shut the bs narratives that seek to create an artificial divide among people who as far as we know do not choose their parents and while admitting there are no differences due to a malotonin genetic exoression then scream there is a difference after all.
Sometimes I magically eat my cake and yet the cake stays whole and untouched. It's magic I tell ya. In a world where we recogonize some individuals have far more than others to an appalling degree we simultaneously seem to glorify such modes of thought.
As for Matthews consider as most rookie centermen he is struggling mightily in the face off dot. As he gains experience and strength he will likely come to dominate in face offs as well. Yes winning them is not as important as gaining control but it sure as hell helps a team gain control. Offensive zone draws cleanly won lead to quick shot attempts and that means some points just by virtue of winning a face off, which means obviously Matthews points will go up. Considering he plays with other rookies in one ofnthe mostnimportant positions on the ice I do not think it is fair to compare Laine to Matthews. Laine plays the wing and does so with veterans which makes his job easier as a rookie. |

This is actually where the eye-test fails you. Those were two excellent plays. But overall, the Leafs didn't play a good game. Don't get blinded by the memorable plays and forget about the other 56 minutes.
Bozak is a good offensive player, but the Leafs are still building and he's never going to be worth more. They should trade him right now so they can give Nylander his own line and so they can but AM with JVR.
Serious question: is there another team in the NHL that doesn't play their best wing and centre as a combo? - James_Tanner
The Wild. Because no one seems to know who their best center or winger is anymore... |

Probably true. If he wasn't on the Hawks, they'd be one of my favorite teams. I love Hossa - one of my alltime favs. |

I haven't seen the show, so I can't comment on if it's any good. I do think the song I put in the blog today - the only one I've heard - is amazing. It's very creative and well done.
As for most rap being garbage, I don't know what to say to that. I wouldn't disparage an entire genre of anything, but that's just me. I love hip-hop. When I was a kid I only liked Classic Rock and Pearl Jam. The older I get, the more rap I like. Now, probably half the cds I buy are hip hop. I love it. But that's just me.
I am so self important I will stop my play to give it to Pence for being in the audience. I don't think self-importance is a bad thing. Certainly it's fair to say that the entire history of North America is based on the individual.
I think anyone with a stage or pulpit has a civic duty to speak out against whatever they perceive as wrong. Mike Pence is homophobic and that's a matter of public record. Trump and Pence ran a campaign that capitalized on the feelings of racist people, and that too is a fact, not an opinion. Whether or not that makes them racist is an opinion for everyone to decide for themselves.
As for Matthews consider as most rookie centermen he is struggling mightily in the face off dot.
Faceoffs have very little impact on the outcome of a game.
As he gains experience and strength he will likely come to dominate in face offs as well. Yes winning them is not as important as gaining control but it sure as hell helps a team gain control. Good call.
One reason for that though is that if you don't shelter Kane's minutes then he isn't good at all. - James_Tanner

Yes I did write that and I stand my it. Ads are a necessary evil. Doesn't mean I have to like them. If you can think of another model for making money on the internet with something other than annoying ads, you could be a billionaire.
Personally, I find marketers even more atrocious than ads, but they all suck. - James_Tanner
I don't know if you understand what marketing entails, but it is a lot more than simply developing ads. |

I imagine it firstly involves having no morals or principles, then basically annoying people until they hate you. I'm sure there are marketers who are nice guys, as I am sure there is occasionally an exciting accountant or a Liberal cop. |
