This is actually where the eye-test fails you. Those were two excellent plays. But overall, the Leafs didn't play a good game. Don't get blinded by the memorable plays and forget about the other 56 minutes.
Bozak is a good offensive player, but the Leafs are still building and he's never going to be worth more. They should trade him right now so they can give Nylander his own line and so they can but AM with JVR.
Serious question: is there another team in the NHL that doesn't play their best wing and centre as a combo? - James_Tanner

I imagine it firstly involves having no morals or principles, then basically annoying people until they hate you. I'm sure there are marketers who are nice guys, as I am sure there is occasionally an exciting accountant or a Liberal cop. - James_Tanner
Serious question... How long have you been in marketing? |

It's interesting how many teams actually split up their best players.

Shocking, you finally played a good song. Is everything ok? Listen to Overkill or Exodus next.
AM is legit, but way too early to shun Sundin like that. Such an unappreciated player during his career, and it seems by some, into retirement. Too bad, the guy was the truth and deserved better. The young guy has a long way to go to approach this greatness. |

Also interesting that three of the teams that do (Kings, Blackhawks, Penguins) are the last three Cup winners. |

I had to google it, but it doesn't sound like something I'd want to watch. Who knows though, sometimes those are the best movies. |

Pretty slow and the flatulence got old quick. Gorgeously shot though. Felt the ending was a bit muddled too.

Hehe i thought you were a little more educated. But i realise, even if its sarcastic, when someone jokes about being wrong three times as a rebutal to a comment about being wrong theres an ego issue. You have passion, you have some great ways of thinking, but you have ways to go mon bro.
As for your comment, ill leave this little gem for you to digest, and it will tell you where you may be a little off in what you said.
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind." taken from the book propaganda by ard bernies. The good father of social control

I don't know what you're on about here. The quote I understand, but the being wrong three times? Wrong about what? That I hate marketers, advertisers and the like? I also don't like the Oil Industry, Real Estate Agents or bankers.
But I am not sure how my opinion can be wrong. I'm not trying to be an ass here either, I seriously have no clue what you're talking about. |

I'm not movie critic. I like movies that are generally considered to be terrible. I think the best movies this year where Popstar,, the Accountant (made even better, in my opinion, by how ridiculous it was) Captain America 3, Bad Moms, Dr. Strange, Batman vs Superman Hail Ceasar, Deadpool, Ghostbusters and a movie I saw at the Drive-in, which I think was called Super Hotchick Fights a Shark for Two Hours. |

Haha. Ya was kinda vague there. I was refering to your responce to garnie. He claimed that you are lways wrong, which is false, but your reply was that youve only been wrong 3 times in life, which is wrong. But tells me that you take issue with being prov6en wrong . who does , but having read your stuff for a while, you are far from humble. Arrogant at times. Which is a shame because you are cerebral and probably have a higher aptitude then most. Its a shame really.
The quote i posted was in reference to your line about marketing and being told what to like. I thought you were more aware, but you have some ways to go there too. You talk abig game, but you are still novice level when it comes to real phylo talk or being critical of "the system" |

Green Room isn't a serious award contender. Just a fun and sometimes serious horrorish movie that doesn't try too hard.

James, tomorrow you should do a blog about how the Coyotes were badly out shot and how shocking it is for a rebuild team to lose to the Stanley cup champs. Talk about if Duclair was in he would have score 8 goals. Or if only they got Brad Boyes when they had the chance. The Leafs lost the other day. But they got a lot of shots on net so that's like a win, Kinda, When you think about it. |

New York Rangers: 20-9-1 CF%: 47.8
Columbus Blue Jackets: 17-5-4 CF%: 52.0
Minnesota Wild: 15-8-4 CF%: 49.6
All three Coaches enforce a trap system and are well above .500. |

Ha! Laugh my ass off. Great post. For the record, a lot of times I'm just kidding. Very dry sense of humour. Make almost no effort to indicate I'm joking at times. I find that amusing. I know some people get me. Most are perplexed. Even more just think I have problems. All good. Wouldn't want to be boring. |

I think you completely miss the point about about analyzing the game beyond the final score. It occurs to me also that you probably think this was clever. |

Pretty sure Bruce Boudrou is known as one of the most offensive oriented coaches in the NHL and that he doesn't employ a trap, but I also can't be expected to know the system of e very single team, so who knows?
I'll trust TB below that the Rangers don't. Plus, I've seen quite a few of their games and they always seem to score like six goals, so maybe they were playing the invisible trap?
Then again, what these teams really have in common is sick goaltending, which is the only thing other than a high shooting percentage that will help a bad possession team win games. |

And what do the Rangers do after they score six? Play the trap for the latter half of the game. TB doesn't know what he's talking about. Vigneault has had the same MO for a long time now.
I would recommend watching how the Wild manage the neutral zone next time you catch a Wild game.
That last statement you made is simply wrong. Shame on you for speaking in definitives; especially about statistics you admit to not fully understanding.
I've told you great goaltending is a product of systems and proper shot management enough times. If you won't listen - your loss. Said goalies don't exist in a vacuum out there. |

Then how do you explain why those systems' goalies can't sustain their play long term? You're the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. |
