Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks can't come back in Florida, Hansen returns in Washington Jannik Hansen returns to the lineup but the starting goaltender remains a question mark as the Vancouver Canucks conclude their seventh set of back-to-back games this season on Sunday against the Washington Capitals.

Thanks Carol....I like your optimism, although I don't share it, the Caps are just too skilled a team for the Nuckleheads. If Washington plays at 70 percent they're still a good bet to win the game, nevermind the quick turnaround back to back games.

After the lacklustre 2 periods the team should be rested tonight and better come out hard. The 4th line missed there turn in the rotation at the start of every period last game. Considering how hot Skille is, I wouldn't be skipping them till the end of the period.

Josh Jooris claimed by the coyotes and Van was said to have been interested. Coyotes GM is going to run that team into the ground.

I wouldn't call it 'optimism,' exactly. I agree with you—this is a very tough matchup for the Canucks on any day, and I think we're at the point where the defensemen are starting to wear down from their heavier-than-usual workloads.

Just tryin' to stay hopeful till we see how things go...

The Canucks have been win one lose one for a while now. No one thought they would beat Tampa Bay either.

Hoping to see a better effort today starting from the opening face off.
Hansen returning should help, but man does Baertschi ever need to get going.

4-1 Capitals.

It be nice to see Demko get the look today especially because he has been playing so well. I know it will never happen, more likely to see Dorsett in between the pipes

The coyotes are in much better shape than the Canucks. We are what 4 points up on them and trying to make the playoffs, while they have one of the best groups of prospects in the league.

Unless that was sarcasm??

Sort of but not really. A team that has been rebuilding for a bit now. Finished ahead of Van last year should be somewhere around the Flames but are instead worse then they were last year. They are also trying to trade some of their younger prospects away.

I think next year they will start to make a move up the rankings. They need one more RHD which is tough to get. Tanev would be good with OEL. Plus they will have loads of cap space and the prospects will be another year older. The team as a whole is much younger than the flames.

Theyre on the right track.

They have Michael Stone and Connor Murphy who are 26 and 23 on the right side.

Just watched The highlights from last night. Skilles goal was extremely impressive. Those are the kind of power moves we had been asking out of our old number 9 for years.

JV take note!

Nothing wrong with either guy but wouldnt really call either a top pairing guy. Stone would be much better in the second pair. Murphy is average but with Deangelo there now and able to run the 2nd PP it kinda makes Murphy irrelevant if they can add a top pairing guy. I think thats why they were so in on Trouba.. if the rumors were true.

Lets bring up all our prospects up to the Canucks, so they can watch canucks games in the stands and bench, because its better for their development rather than just playing in the AHL. You know like actually playing the sport and not a fan in the stands.

Nice work. Sirloin in the slow cooker here and I will be half snapped when the Seahawk game starts. Fully pissed by the end of the Nucks game.
