JB works wonders with his own 2nd round picks. - bloatedmosquito
So in that case, Toronto has 3 2nd round picks this year. All three picks and a B prospect from Toronto is what your saying. I think that's what your saying. I'm feeling and hearing you. |

Are they doing much better under Tom Rowe? IDK haven't been following them other then when they beat the canucks. - manvanfan
No they haven't but as with most things you need a decent sample size. Again I'm not sure Gallant was the issue or not but I'm not sure I'm buying the story as first told either. |

Hey guys, wow...returning from a long ban since the first Nucks/Leafs game...
Jk, my account expired. Nice to see depression, anger, frustration, etc in full force. And by depression, I mean Nucks4u |

Don't worry about trading anyone....the guys we could trade for assets for the most part have been moved or have left. Hold on to all your youth and picks try to add picks but only sell guys who want out. - belcherbd
So 3D 2F per line? win 1-0 or in a S/O... |

I agree 100% with the bolded. I just see him as someone with value to trade. And I don't think it will hurt us too much in the future. - bloatedmosquito
I get the sentiment, but we just won't get value back (especially with Benning at the helm). How many young, top-6 forwards are available? |

WAS Hall? No one really knows. McCann for Guds was a complete surprise to all. |

Apparently, yes. Do you think JB can pull off a Hall for Larsson type deal? |

Benning, that stupid idiot had a young, top six forward and traded him away! For what? Will Acton? Look at what that Lain kid is doing on the Jets! Good talent evaluator my ass.
So pissed.

Who said he had to be young? |
|
|
|
If we are a playoff team in 3 years we will need a few 30 year olds! He is still relatively young. I would trade him if we could somehow and a young, proven top 6. Unlikely - CanuckDon
Keeping Tanev over Edler makes sense but JB is not asking any NTCs to waive |

Well apparently 27 is too old for the team right now |

If the team is last and lousy no fear Canucks HB thread leads the way with 661 posts in a day. Way to go fan base. |

Age has nothing to do with moving Tanev, he's one of the only players with trade value, that's the deal. |

Do you honestly believe JB. I think when the timing is right, he will certainly approach them.
The timing is looking awfully close!
Also, I don't think Tanev has a NTC, does he? |

Benning is full of poop. He will ask Edler to waive, Linden won't let him ask the sedins. He already got two crappy players to waive |

It does not show a NTC on Tanev on Cap friendly and if he did have one it is not this year.
Do I believe JB when he says he will not ask a player to waive? Damn straight I think he won't. I don't want to pile on but in the past this team has showed too much respect for their old core , so yeah I don't believe he will ask anyone to waive. |

You're original argument for trading Tanev was because he'll be too old when the team is competitive again. If he was 23 right now, would you still want to trade him because he has value? Why not trade Hutton then? |

Tanev has an NTC kicking in on July 1st. Nothing until then. |
