Rodin Pedan and Labate sent down to Utica - VANTEL
Best news for Rodin being close to coming back. We can see what he can do finally. As for Pedan they don't want to risk him qualifying for waivers if Beiga is playing adequate. LaBate is sitting too long. With Hansen back Canucks have their extra forward. |

every draft produces top line players...do you actually believe that there will only be 3 first line players produced from the 2017 draft? These are 17 year old kids and some develop at a slower pace - CanuckDon
You may want to checkout the year the Sedin'so got drafted.... 2 top line players from that draft. Any guess who they are? |

Not at all but you have to admit the team still lives and dies a lot with the twins. Sure Willie can cut their TOI but to what end? They still lead the team in scoring almost every year and if we keep relying on guys in their mid 30s to carry this club we are in trouble. We need a mentality shift. A different captain and a change to the country club that many players so desire here. Until Horvat has that C it's just going to be more of the same for the next few seasons which is fine for the people who want top 5 picks…not so much for the people who want playoffs. - LordHumungous
The young forward core is still emerging and hasn't arrived to take over from the Sedins. If we didn't have injured on D we wouldn't be talking about young D either. Opportunity and timing. |

OV has a nack for making goalies look like that. Too much time and space for him. Second call on Tree was bogus. These calls turned game in their favor cause they have looked a little flat against battling Canucks. |

It was a push but the player was vulnerable. Should have just taken him into the boards and pinned him instead of pushing him down like that. |

The guy was bracing for it and was overpowered by it. Sad really. |

Had he not moved the puck would have hit his blocker. It actually looked like he flinched. |

He should be finishing his checks...he hit Wilson in the shoulder and he has good size. Last thing this team needs is Tree afraid to make hits |

I agree. I want to see him hitting too. That's just in the dangerous spot a few feet out from the boards where there's not really time for the player to brace before his head hits the boards. I think if he seriously injures a player with a push like that in that danger zone he'll be far less likely to be physical in the future. |

The league must protect their stars.
The canucks are basically the Washington Generals of the NHL. |

That period seemed to go by quick. Team is pressing. Calls killed momentum.
Baer had a poor game and gets the press box treatment. Hope that gets him focused again. I did think from a logistics point the older Burr would get a rest day on this long travel and quick back to back. But WD likes his vets and sending messages to youth. |
