Our PP is absolutely fucing useless. Split those two puck hogs up.

3 PPs no shots

Just put a defender between them and they'll do the kill for you.

Here's a question:

If you ran this team would you have played Larsen or Subban?

Larsen
Height: 6-0 ft
Weight: 182 lbs

Subban
Height: 5-9 ft
Weight: 181 lbs

I'm curious to see what Subban can do considering what I saw from Larsen.

- bloatedmosquito

Pretty easy to question Larsen after his lackluster season so far but I would tend to agree that give both an opportunity.

I'm getting pretty tired of Sedin powerplay.
- whitefang

It's the powerplay. Even Horvat stinks.

Horvat knows he's only got 30-40 seconds to work with before he gets to watch Sedinery kill the rest of the opportunity.

I don't know.... the Sedin's did not allow a shorty in all three of the Powerplays. Thats a victory in itself.

The 2017 draft doesn't suck and we will still be bad in 2018

I'm thinking we'll be worse in 2017-18

Larsen but they both suck in their own end. Larsen can go though

I don't think either are NHL players but I have a feeling Subban could probably handle the physical stuff better than Larsen did.

After that hit he took I don't think Larsen should be in the NHL. He doesn't have the physical presence to withstand the punishment.

Subban's playing good minutes on the Comets in all situations. 2nd on the team in points I think. Hasn't missed many games because of injury so he's probably handling himself well.

Why not?

What would be better....

1. Both Sedin's get their 1000th point this season, come on Danny, and they retire.

2. Danny does not make it, they return and we could resign them for 2 million a season for 1 season plus an option. No NTC.

Not to beat the dead horse but when Canucks are in trouble in their own end look and see who the forwards are.

Although I question some of his calls on ice time and line rolling, I doubt that even Groundskeeper Willie could do better.

WD does not seen interested during the games. He does not argue calls, he is not communicating....

I fear to say I am moving into apathy.

- Beatle_john

I dont think he's ever really seemed that interested.

as for others questions, the reason to fire him now is 2 fold.
1. it takes to implement new system of play, Id rather it now if indeed we are set to miss playoffs....as opposed to the start of next season which could have us slow off the hop.

2. since there isnt a ton of coaching choices available, by giving Jarvis the interm HC title you can evaluate him for the permanent role through rest of reason AND give you a MUCH longer time to otherwise look for a HC. Then make a decision in the summer.
The change could actually mean playoffs vs another year of none.

Theres no reason to wait however

on another note ....enjoying how skille is powering around defenders while carrying the puck. Reminded me of Bo there in that regard.

I've actually never really been on the fire WD train but it's clear he is struggling and may have lost the room. Like a few on here I'm not sure firing him now would make much difference. But if ownership wants the shake-up...

I hear you. It is what it is with WD now.

its not only perimeter play but also how they slow the play down ....piles less likely to generate offense like that. They gotta get in the habit of full speed zone entry and thn not letting the D get set up
