Playing defense on your off side is tougher. Everything is tougher. Skilled players can do it, and he can do it. I just don't think it's best. Given Gudas, Ghost, and Myers/Friedman all project as RDs, and Manning or AMac can play RD in the meantime, I'd prefer Sanheim play his natural LD. Ghost loves to shoot 1-timers and stuff. Sanheim is different; he does so much more work on the cycle and with his playmaking. Playing LD only makes it easier to play in his own end too, so it's not like that would be sacrificed. It has nothing to do with defense vs offense. He's just better at LD. - Mononoke
Why couldn't it be like how a lot of wingers prefer their off hand now. Like Jake is much better at RW. I dunno. If your talking about coming down that right side and looking to make a play it could have its positives. |

you have always been a known Ott guy - Crimsoninja
I have friends who went to high school with Ott and knew him well from his time as a Windsor Spitfire. He just plays the game in away that keeps him relevant. Based on what I hear through friends and even TSN on Ott. He's a great guy off the ice. I believe this. |

Most NA wingers do not play their off hand unless due to a team need. Euro wingers are trained to play both wings and often do play on their off wing. But that doesn't really happen with d men, which is what we're talking about, let alone Canadian d men. It's just harder and isn't common -- you're always on your backhand. The one real strength is shooting, especially 1 timers, and that's not his forte. He's just a LD naturally and is better there. I've seen enough Calgary and Phantoms games to think that he just can do more from the left and is more comfortable there. He's still been good and can do it; I'd just like to see his game and strengths opened up on the left. |

I'd do it to reward him. The way he's been progressing, by the second time he's out there with the unit he'll begin to dominate. |

OT, but I'm thinking of going up to Montreal from 12/28 to 1/2. First, any recommendations of things to do, places to see, etc would be appreciated. Secondly, what is the possibility and best option for scoring WJC tickets?
Thanks! - TheGreat28
I loved Montreal. One place that I would go to isThe Canadians Hall of Fame. It is really Very good. Yes I hate the Habs but I have to say I was so impressed with what they have done with it. Makes me jealous that we don't have that level of support for the O&B. |

I like his decision making with his shots. Sometimes he slaps, sometimes he wrists. He does a pretty good job of getting the puck to the net. |

Good to see those powerhouse Yotes blasting the Penguins. Penetrating their skulls!
The double bonus that coincides with the Flyers winning streak is all the contenders in the division have simultaneously gone in the tank. |

Lol at Carchidi tweeting about how Schenn should stay at 2C when Coots comes back. Yeah because that line and he have been so dominant at 5v5. I swear to God it's like people slather themselves in recency bias and get box score tunnel vision. The "second" line has been a mess 5v5 in both ends, and it's not like Schenn scored an OT goal and 3 PP goals to make his 5v5 play null and void or anything |

Even when the Flyers win 9 games in a row you find a way to be unhappy. |

Not unhappy at all. Gearing up for a Giants 5th Championship run. One for the thumb!
