Isn't it great that one year we are going bonkers over an offensive defenseman like Ghost and the following year it's the defensive prowess of Provorov? - dragonoffrost

I don't think he is pig headed about that at all. I just think he wants to be sure players are ready to contribute. I seriously rather see them be conservative more than not. I always felt that kids like Sbisa and even Zubrus were not ready. I wonder if Coots would have been better off going back to juniors. either way I am enjoying seeing you home grown players like Provorov and Konecny and even Cousins, Manning and Leier on a lesser level of course. Thrilled to see Stolarz get games in. I hope he is ready to be the backup next year. Really hoping Morin gets time in and starts with the Flyers next year. Getting Lindblom signed and here next season needs to get done too.
Obviously winning makes them fun to watch but seeing kids injected into the lineup makes them even more fun. - nastyflyergirl
i demand Morin and Lindblom.

Then Hexy ran out there and just word vomited the name out. Classic. Didn't even thank the panthers or anything.

Hate that we have to wait until Wednesday for the next game. This streak and recent string of games have been an absolute blast to watch. We also get a favorable match up against a struggling Avalanche team; not that they should be overlooked regardless. It really makes me wonder how the lines are going to look once Couts and Read are back, as well as how much more can we improve with their insertions. I really thought our team was doomed when Couts went down with how bad we played last season without him, but total opposite. Everyone seems to be contributing and theres a different hero each game. Between the 19 year olds, the streak, Mason and Stolie both playing great, I still think my favorite part of this season is Jake bouncing back. My biggest pet peeve last season were the fans demanding his head after signing is contract and labeling him as a bust. Boy have they crawled back under their rocks. - arichardson22
i think it's good for them to get a break. often when you see teams have a compressed schedule and go on a long run they often some of those games despite themselves. they're not practicing much and the details start to fall away.
rest up a bit, focus with a couple of days of good practice, and get back at it.
Regarding the new kids, i'd like to see TK bear down a bit more. Seems like he's getting knocked off the puck and turning it over a bit and not finishing his chances. He's still making noise out there most shifts and he works his ass off. Love watching him. |

Leight? - Crimsoninja
i don't think so.
noticed that Gagner is 3rd star, and he's already surpassed his scoring totals from last year. just going to reiterate i wanted the flyers to keep him.

read the comments on any nbc.com or nhl.com fb or twitter post talking up the flyers. it's filled with the standard hater comments, primarily from pigeons fans. i will never understand this thinking.

hater: your team sucks, will choke when in the playoffs and you haven't won in 239 years! my self worth is sky high because of a team i root for which i literally have nothing to do with, and you're a (frank)ing loser because you root for a loser!

More random obs.
Flyers lead the league in power play opportunities, and it does look like just a result of playing the most games
Despite the somewhat crazy schedule at the beginning of the season, they've played division rivals very little. 3-2...Columbus is 4-0. Rags and Pens have played the most metro games. Silver lining might be they're more rested once the games get harder/more important (the most important two points of the season) |

i think there's potential for this being a big silver lining. pressure ends up being on the other teams to make up ground which is so hard to do with all the 3 point games, while the flyers will be resting. |
