I hope Tryamkin can be as good as Tanev but I wouldn't bet on it. I see what you are saying about his contributions being mitigated with injuries though.
If we can get a Hall type player for him definitely, if it is a Garrison type return I'm less inclined.
If we can get a Gudbranson return I would likely be okay with it but still apprehensive.
It all depends on what you can get for him imo. Same goes with Hansen. - belcherbd
If the Canucks can get a center prospect and a second round pick I'd be more than happy with the return. To me it's about building towards the future. |

I hate admitting this but I have actually been impressed with Bieaga, thus far. Granlund/Beargeeee have been a huge disappointment.
I thought JB was a meat and potatoes type of guy? - Bakwas
Granlund/Sven might be disappointing (though both have had some streaks of good play) will always be a better offensive option than Biega. Beiga is a fine water-treading type player IMO. He doesnt generate much of anything and does everything he can to not give anything up, fine for an injury fill in, awful to see on the PP. I would've much preferred any other D get a shot at the PP icetime than him |

I agree but I would also like to see some adjustments or creativity on the power play.

I don't understand why he keeps sending Granlund out there. I think Burrows has earned a spot and isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas. - Bakwas

I comes down to a serious lack of skill within the organization, until that's fixed you're not going to see it improve much. - LeftCoaster

Horvat is our next best skilled player next to the twins, I'm not sure who gets more PP time though, Granlund or Horvat? |

Tree is going to be great when he develops a nasty edge to his game.
Maybe we trade Sbisa for Chara and have Chara mentor Tree for a year |

Does anyone else think Horvat is a shoot first guy? Does he make the players around him better yet?
Who got the advance stats on him? |

Im all for trading Tanev but it has to start with edler. I would even say deal gudbranson before Tanev. Although I want the full rebuild and would deal all 3 and build around stecher, OJ, Hutton and Tryamkin plus whoever we would add over the next several drafts. I would love liljegren and OJ top pairing for the next 10 years. |

I don't have them but at this point yes, he tends to shoot first ask questions later. He's made some nice passes though, he possess that skill. |

He's impressive because you don't expect much from Biega and he always manages to give a little extra.
Our expectations of Baerschi in particular is much higher and easier to be dissatisfied with.
Personally I've been impressed with Granlund but I expected him to be poop so I've been pleasantly surprised. - belcherbd
I feel the same way, low expectations and he has been a decent 3rd liner...He has been better than Bae so far imo |

Bo Horvat is really reminding me of Marian Hossa, really strong on the puck. He plays his best when driving for the net.
And then there is Baertschi, when he is aggressive he looks great, but at other times he just hangs around the perimeter and looks like Mason Raymond. |

I think the return would be really high for Tanev plus at 4.5 x 5 you cant say no. TO, dallas, buffalo, detroit, nj, boston the list goes on for top pair RD. |

I forgot to mention—I sure didn't mind seeing Tryamkin get a penalty for taking Tom Wilson into the boards in the first period. Wilson was really good on the penalty kill and scored the empty-netter, but a guy with a reputation for throwing nasty hits was a non-issue physically in the game.
I wonder if he thought twice about using his body after his close encounter with Tree?

I think he is getting a bit long in the tooth. Time to move on from Horvat. |

Thank you for the PP info.
I would agree that Tree makes his presence felt early, makes forwards take notice and back off a bit. Same goes with Guds, needs to assert himself in that way to keep other teams from doing as they please. |

It's true. If we scrap the rebuild now, we could be a legit playoff contender. |

Little surprised at the Granlund haters on this board, seems like he's been pretty much our most productive bottom 6 forward hasn't he? |

Nothing burns my moccasins more than Bear Gee driving hard to the offensive corners and then either falling or losing the puck effortlessly |

I'm just saying he's a bottom six guy with 10 points in 22 or so games on a team with awful secondary scoring. |
